Phil Ivey - First out?  +1
Do you think Phil Ivey will be first out of the main event?

Seeing as theres enough talk about Phil Ivey winning the main event, I thought I'd have a poll on how many people think he'll be first out. I do anyway cause i think hell be too agressive early on and people will be keen to knock him out and get rid of him. What about you?

damn i voted 'yes', but misread the poll xD i would tell no and even maybe that hell win.
Okay, you are right, he play very aggressive, but he is still one of the best poker players of the world (seeing his results, we can say that no?). i see him at least on top 4 Blink and i would be happy if he win : it would proves he is the best Smile

I don't think Phil will be the first out... he has a good amount of chips so he has plenty of time to wait for some good hands or wait for someone else like on the short... to bust out first... Phil will play intelligently there so noway he'll bust out first...

I agree and have best wishes for him. Big Smile

Possible.

He will play to win, and with his less than average stack, this means he has to take risks. But other players have even less chips.

First out for 100 % sure ... it would simply be too sick if he won.

There is a bit space between 1st out and 1st place Smile

Phil Ivey must win! There's no two ways about it! My future hangs on it! (Or, at least a weekend of a lot of beer and stuff, on a boat to Finland and back, where I will get shitfaced, if he wins!! Everything financed with a small bet...)

Come on...
I dont think he ll win it but saying that he ll get out first is a bit too much ... Ivey is too smart not to do such a dumb mistake... he knows its all about winning the most out of every position so i really don't think he ll go out first... i think he might get to top 3-4 but thats it

Are u kidding??. I only see that possible if some lucky hit one of his outs on the river, like 2003 WSOP Main event Big Smile:

I dont think he will be first out but I do think he will NOT win.
He is undoubtable a very talented player but with the new age comes new skills.....
Every one grew up in his shadow and most players (very good ones) know is style and what he does and what he can do....
He on the other hand can not possible be fully aware of what he faces.... Yes i'm sure he has been doing his home work during the break but 8 Vs 1..... thats the bottom line they all deserve to be there and they all have a good chance of taking it down.
Ivey will come out in 4th.........thats my prediction 4th 4th 4th 4th Big Smile

The only way Ivey is going out first is if he's holding a monster and runs into somebody holding the stone nuts. But barring that, i think hes taking the whole thing down!! Thumbs Up

There might be a chance he'll be first to go out of the tourney. His chip stack isn't that big. Actually he is one of the short stacked guys in the tourney.

I voted no but I know is it possible.
He'll try to double up, to push to earn as more chips as possible, very aggressive and will take risks.
So it is possible but I prefer to think he will be able to go on in this final table

i don't think he'll be first to get out but don't think he'll win either unless he gets lucky in the beginning. he has plenty of experience so don't think he'll gamble in the beginning.

IF he plays aggressive from the get go he WILL either be out bottom 2, or get to the top 2
He is going to play for the win so any place but 1st wont interest him, so he will probably hit cold deck and get unlucky or he will get lucky and VERY quickly increase his chips...Its all on the poker godz now

He's the best player at the table, followed closely by akenhead and shulman.

He has a massive edge over the rest of them as his reading ability is imense, that and the fact he has all the experience tells me he's going to do really well.

Bust out in first? I'd put my bankroll on that not happening.
