I recently purchased a new laptop as my computer broke down after many years of service. One of the cool things i can do with it is connect the monitor from my old computer to my laptop ....... giving me two monitors to play on ... and im finding it great as i can have half my poker tables on one screen and half on the other and have more space as they are not all on top of each other (i dont like the mini screens options) or i can like im doing now have internet opened on one monitor and work while my poker tables are running on the other. Its really making things much handier. So I was wondering how many of you work with more than one monitor....

Have been thinking about it when a friend gave me his old but decent monitor, but it never reached the top of my "to do-list". In the meanwhile I stopped playing multi-table because I an just too slow for that lol. I am doing better now, playing just 1 or 2 (cash) ; won all my losses back in 6 weeks or so

lol i think theres no need for 2 monitors ? 1 monitor should be big enough to see.. unless it is 12inch or 14.. rather than 2 monitor why not get a tv with pc support input

I did know this was possible although not sure how easy it is. I think you can do it wirelessly too with my macbook but I don't have another monitor. It's not something I'm particularly keen to do if I was offered a free monitor. I too tend to browse the internet or do other activities whilst playing poker, sometimes I arrange the windows to fit neatly on my screen, or if the window is too big like now I just switch easily back and fore. The only time I miss the space is when I watch dvds as I tend to prefer them in large screen rather than in the corner. Having said that I don't know how easy it would be to concentrate on the dvd and keep turning my head to check on poker. There's nothing I could use two screens for that I can't do on one without giving any less commitment to what I'm doing.
I hope that last bit makes sense. Still trying to figure out how to say it.

I have always wanted to use two monitors when I'm playing on a lot of tables, but I just have one I've seen pros players using up to 4 monitors, pretty sick. I think when you play more than 12 tables you need more tha one, unless you put the tables on cascade mode, what I don't like et all.

TWO Monitors? Whaaaaaaaaaaat?????????????????? That sounds awfully crazy and complicated, although I guess it makes sense when you hear of people playing more than 12 tables! Guess you learn something knew everyday

For me it would not be feasible but for a serious online poker player I would say it could give you a little advantage as you would be able to tile more tables on 2 or more screens with better graphics.....and it will be better for your eye site as well

It still confuses me how people can play more than 2 tables at once and still manage to have a profit. I think that when you have all those tables, you're more prone to make mistakes, because you have to think very fast and you aren't aware at the style of playing of other players. These subtle things can make a difference between winning or losing a session. But for those who can profit with these conditions, good work

I used to use to monitors at work all the time. i loved, especially once I'd set up all my keyboard shortcuts for flinging windows around and all that jazz. It's definitely a much more productive environment.
At home I have a 19" LCD screen which I use, I also have a few spare 17" CRTs laying around that I could use one of. But atm I mainly play on PKR and I could use it for web browsing whilst playing PKR on the other one, but as far as multi-tabling goes, I don't usally play my stars account, which is about the only one I wouldn't mind plugging the extra screen in for. If I get another LCD I'll prob plug it in though.
2 is def better than 1 when it comes to monitors though, for all things.
Hooking up a 2nd monitor isn't all that difficult with my laptop, did it maybe once in the past, but got lazy having to look over from one screen to the next & timing out on multiple tables lol, plus I dont really play my top game if i have too many tables running at once! One screen for me, unless i can get really good at doing 10+ tables then might hook in my desktop monitor again

i mean, whats the limit of tables a person can be playing and still win money? correct me if im wrong but ii would say like 14/15..
so whats the point of 2 monitors?its pretty cool, but unuseful
Oh yeah & to this.... I came across a video of some beastly guy, running 50+ tables on poker stars... insane, but at the same time seems kinda pointless to me lol not being able to concentrate on 1 table for more 2 seconds or else you time out of 6 others & find urself folding Aces & kings
