I'm looking to get a few poker books (even if they're e-Books) to learn more about the game, and various strategies. Right now I'm OK at poker, but not even close to good. I know some odds, and what to do in certain situations, but I need to broaden my knowledge to switch strategies and be able to capitalize.
Money waste, imo... you can't learn s**t from books, how to be a winning player online. And all the basics you need for poker (online), you can find on endless sites, articles, forums, coaching vids etc...
BUT, if you really want to see another point view and learn some poker maths, by some professional player, I would suggest you to look into the books of David Sklansky and pick the one which suits your interests and needs. He and his books are actually very respected and loved by many pro players. Hes also a representative of 2+2 forums. All other books are garbage, more or less... same s**t, just another name, imo.

Enough is going around for free. Take one thing into consideration if You are going to play micro stakes, unless it is explicitly said that some article is talking about micro stakes or poor players it will not work that good or cannot be applied to micro stakes. You can`t bluff poor player, poor players call against ALL odds and in that situation that book is only here to make you more confident about yourself, that you are making right decisions.

Wow, I'm shocked by some of the comments in this thread. But yes to some extent it is true you can learn alot just from reading articles & watching training video's online, some of them are really good, but the majority of these players online, defintely aren't leak free & you will often find yourself improving in areas you WANT to improve or learn about, but neglecting other important aspects, that maybe you never even knew existed. Well thats what i found was the case with me, thought i was a good tourney player... until i read Harrington on Holdem I,II & III & realized how many major leaks I had, without even realizing! Also Sklansky small stakes poker & Sklanksy - advanced poker are really excellent books, but what i found is most of their theories can't really be used at the lower stakes, since you need to be playing against players that have atleast half a mind, & most donks at micros are blithering idiots & will still go all in on bottom pair even if you try the semi bluff squeeze OOP lol

Is it a good book?? I heard good comments about ir but I'm not sure already if read it or not. Have anyone read it?
It depends on what are you looking for, if you just want a good read, then Gus's book might be a decent read, but if you want to learn something, you better pick another book.
I forgot to mention the books of Harrington, from what I've heard and read, they should be pretty good for MTT players, comparable to Sklansky's books.

I'm well aware, but I just dislike the way the advice is given and I really think it's too much of "well, in this spot, you've got a gut shot, so go ahead and raise" and stuff
I'm much more into reading hh and stuff on 2p2 because I think the discussion is far better.
