I would say more of a hobby, that has a monetary bonus & potential to grow into something bigger a couple of years from now. But right now I can hardly say that i can grind out a living at NL10 & NL25 lol, but its always nice to see my BR growing nice & steadily over time

Huh tricky question. Everybody wants to earn some money, right? I think that micro stakes players and high stakes players play with similar passion and goals - to earn (win) money. But if i must choose i voted for hobby. I earn my money with regular job, afterall.

I play poker for hobby. Not thinking of make a lifestyle about it because i really enjoy playing and if I played poker to pay the bills it would get really stressful and no fun at all
Since the options are only for hobby or money i go with money.Really I'm playing to win, to crush the villians and and win tournies. Planning to win a braclet or 2 someday soon and playing for hobby just doesn't cut it.

I play for fun, even though i try to win. What interests me in poker is going upper and upper limits, getting comprenhension from these different types of opponents, and so on

Posted by pokersztar: Why do you play Poker ? I think lot of people play poker as a hobby but some people play for the money. It is just a hobby for me. I like playing card games. What is oppinion guys ??
can't believe you didn't put an option for both since if I like it as a hobby I ask to myself what does entertain you from poker. Winning, beating others competitiveness and... money. Money makes the game fun it is the scoring of the game, but since money is the score I'm playing for the money as a hobby.

if you play only for money, its like with everithing else - you have to work hard to sucseed. and poker takes lots of time to learn in theory and even more to do it in real life, so for money it is more profitable to learn stock investment etc
