For soaps I only watch Easenders, sometimes a bit of Hollyoaks but the girls aint as nice as they used to be. I vote for every thing on TV is true cause I once seen a program and it said that it was so it must be.

Well while I'm trying to figure out which option in the poll is closest to my view cos I'm a bit baffled at the moment, I thought i'd post my view on soaps.
They are absolute trash written for retarded people who don't have enough to gossip about. They are completely unrealistic, no one would move to Walford given the incredibly high crime rate, the number of traffic incidents and the fact that there is only one pub there which is full every single day of the week with loud and annoying locals. The storylines are awful and recycled so many times with different soaps making no attempt to even slightly change the plot before they copy each other. Then consider the lack of time they have to put shows together and the lack of talent drawn to the soap world and you have some pretty bad rubbish. And I have to say every time my family turns on the Tv to watch a soap, I am absolutely clued to it.
I'm not proud of myself. When I'm not living with my parents I never make a point to watch this crap, in fact I avoid it, I go all out to ignore any soap 'gossip' but every time I see one, it sucks me in. I really think we'd be better off without them. They only obscure our views of reality, promote stereotypes and encourage dumb viewing. Everyone knows what's going to happen before they see the programme due to soap magazines and gossip so the shows themselves don't actually offer anything.

I hate soaps... I watched like 2 (not full like after half i couldn't stand more) episodes with mother which love them and i was feeling like some crap. Problems , people etc are such annoying and stupid , i don't know why people watch it... maybe they don't have real life and think life at Soaps is gr8.
For real i think i watched one full episode , and i remember it rlly well . There was a rlly nice girl with big breast and see-through shirt ... Anyone is fan of Soaps? Are there much things like that? Maybe i will become fan , who care my brain will die while watching it ^^.

I definitely do not like them because they are 100% commercial and they use "the" material to make it interesting (which they just try to) I like 20 episode x season shows like lost. Those are really interesting and dont use the "I love you" or "she is your sister" or " I am your mother" resources. Soaps are just written because they have to they basically have NO storyline.
