I'm currently silver, fair bit off gold though big step from silver to gold
I love PKR. I get bored on other rooms and it's a pretty soft game. So what if you can't play 5,000 tables at once and the games a little bit slower than other sites.
Great community at PKR too, a lot more social than other sites.. which is nice (once again, when you're not playing 35423 tables at once)
it's not a hardcore site and doesn't do real "high stakes" and certainly not the best site for a 'pro'. But if you're a casual player and want to get a bit more out of your poker experience, then it's pretty sweet. Did i mention it's pretty soft there ??

It is veary heavy software and u can't play even 2 tables if u really wanna focus on your game, 'cause they can't be opened in 2 different window.. it also takes really long to download and open the software, even when using low details. i'd say the client is a big time failure and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I'm bronze, and thinking of playing my way up to silver. But it seems to be a bit to go.
What did you get when you made silver? you get some sort of magazine, I've been told?

To bad for you, sir, because it is pretty fun, at least in the beginning. It's different. There is a PC-game, called WSOP-something, that is much like PKR. In Sweden I sometimes see it pretty cheap in different shops. You could try that, just for the experience.

Posted by DaneMitic: Does PKR offer PLO DoN's too, or just NL holdem? If yes, hows the traffic?
Yes they offer PLO DoNs, but they not very popular, only the $5 ones fill up a couple times a day. Traffic on other SNG/MTT/CASH is good for a middle big pokerroom. DoNs fill up easily, $5/$10/$20 run so many times a day, the $50 ones fill up a littl slower, running like 15/20 times a day i guess.
In an hour you might get to play 35 hands (way to few) and with these very progressive blinds levels the tournament reminds me more of a pure luckbust tournament. Of course someone with ICM-skills should be more of a winner than a Donk in the end, but in my view the variance is very high on PKR compared to other sites because of the above mentioned reasons.
Graphics are fine and the fishlevel to me is only surpassed by the Entraction network (of those I have tried of course)
I would only recommend cashgameplayers and to some extent SNG players PKR. People like me who likes MTT's should be able to find better sites.

Yeh i totally agree, PKR is very good site for SNG, for CASH there is not so many traffic as you might think, many times there are only 2/3 NL600 tables and 1/2 NL1000 tables so not very high for middle stakes. Imo for MTT PKR is kinda crap, the donkplay off the opponents is fine offcourse but structure and lounge is bad. But overall, very easy to make money on PKR cos off the low skill off average players.

Yeh, apparently.. Haven't got the first one yet though lol.
IMO the best bit of going to silver is the added $$ tourney and being able to make private games. Otherwise its just a bunch of freeroll tickets you get lol, like the the levels really. I don't think PKR levels really mean a whole lot, which is why they let you keep your level forever.
