Errr...
Wish I'd seen this thread before everyone got carried away with it....
There's some confusion between VIP points and BigBetRewards points.
VIP points you earn and track through the client - These are earned at the rate of 10 VIP points per $1 raked.
BigBetRewards points are variable depending on what deal/level you are on and are earned at the top level at the rate of 500 points per $1 raked.
In terms of comparisons between poker sites and bonuses... we have set out to provide the best bonuses AND more importantly the best redemption rate.
To give you an idea, if you deposit $500 at BigBet you need (on our current promotion) to rake $1000 to clear the entire $550 you get in bonus.
If you do the same thing on WalkerPoker (also on Merge) you need to rake $37,500 to clear the $500 bonus.
Quite simply, if you take the time to do comparisons (and we have), you need to look at not only the number of points you earn but the redemption rate (which is normally designed to be confusing so that players don't do the math to work out the deal return rate).
Obviously there are better deals to be had when going through certain affiliates at certain sites but as a whole, our bonus offer is better.
Hope that clears it up a little!
Cheers, John
