I don't like limit at all but i only played in tournaments and they're so annyoing... everyone go into every pot with s**t.... Maybe at cash tables they are more fun.
I prefer the NL version of this lovely game because it's more "spicy". It's more dangerous too but the action and big bets are things that I'm looking for...

Posted by Lutenatik: NL cuz in micro tables if u raise pre flop with aces every1 in the table will call and u will end up by loosing more than winning it
especially in that online, this pair of aces are cracked nine times out of ten merry christmas feliz natal

Posted by LaBaiz: I'm playing only no limit holdem, because if i flop a set or top pair I want to defend my hand with a huge raise from flush or straight draws.
I play mainly NL cash but will switch to Limit when I just want to play and get some action. Limit can be kind of fun at times. I like to play limit and practice different ways to extract more money out of the other players. Alot of people don't know how or why to bet in Limit so it makes it fun to play games with the other players because usually they don't catch on to what's happening until the last betting round is almost over.

I prefer NL, it's a combination of different factors 1, at the low limits I play, there are a lot of fish willing to stack off on a gutshot and so 2, again at the low limits I play, limit is impossible to win unless with a very strong hand, as said fish will chase anything to the river ("it's only one more bet..." )

Eternal question. "I don't like Limit because fish don't fold and payout my hands." So? Isn't that the goal, our strong hands get paid out? But the usual arguments are: "Is there any TV show about it?" or "Does durrr do those big bluffs like I want to do in FL? Does he even play it?", typical answer "No, so I don't like it."
The real thing is that you can be a bit more profitable playing FL than NL, respecting the 25Buyin minimum for NL and 300BB for FL bankroll managment rules.
NL 2h session with 3 bad beats: THE TRAGEDY, winrate destroyed, negative session. FL 2h session with 3 bad beats: GREAT SESSION, huge winrate, upswing.
