What do you guys think of the FT system on rewarding bountys.
OK, so if you and an villian beat (KO) a player and you have less chips than villian, is it fair that he gets the KO even tho you win the hand?
So you win the chips but he gets KO?

OK seams im reading in to it wrong, they caim I had fewer chips than the guy who got KO but thats not how I recall it and now cant find the hand. Grrrrrr lol.

Depends if you had the knocked out player covered or not. If you could take him out, the bounty should go to you, if not to the other player in the hand.

Yer think that was it shokaku, Im almost sure I did, as I re-raised to get villian HU but BS tagged in, he did have chips returned but I was sure I had villian coverd, guess im wrong.

OK useless poll feel free to shut it down Admin.

Of course its correct.

If you dont have enough chips to beat the other player then you can't get the bounty.

How on earth can you ? If the player who did KO him had folded you wouldnt have got it anyway..

Only one player can take his last chips off him, unless you both have him covered and its a split pot. Other than that, the person who takes his last chips, regardless of who wins the actual hand gets the bounty.

Eg

YOU = 2000 chips - You have AA
Villain 1 = 3000 chips - he has 99
Villain 2 = 5000 chips - he has KK

All ini three way

You win 6000 for beating two players
The remaining 1k of Villain 1s chips are a side pot, which he then loses.

You took 2k of his chips. At this poiint he still had 1k left. Villain 2 beats his 9s and takes the side pot. Thus taking hte last of his chips

As said above fcumred I was under the impression I did have him coverd.
But again guess I was wrong.
I dont remember there being a side pot.

Worst one I ever had done to me was in a $50 buy in MTT on Full Tilt.

I pick up QQ . I had a pro on my table.. Pro raises. I call. Flop is A Q 3. he then bets again and I call. TUrn is a 3. He then shoves. I call.

I beat his AK.

He then has 15 chips left and hes on the SB.

everyone limps next hand to try get his BB. The flop comes over and this one players shoves all in. Everyone else has to fold. Hes got 7 5 offsuit and the flop was 5 5 9.

He takes the last 15 chips off the pro after I've taken about 5k off him. He gets the bounty and the T shirt.. Angry Angry Aww crap!

I've tried similar but when I checked HH I didn't cover the guy that was knocked out, I only took like 95% of his stack and villain 2 took the rest and won the bounty Aww crap!

thats right.
You probably havent him covered. If it is split pot than the bounty is also splited. (Speaking from my experience)

in bounty KO tournaments chip management id more important because you cant waste any chip to be sure to cover most of people at your table.

we all know the rule, even if you take only 90% of opponent chip, the only important thing is to take the last one.

Totally agree with what AA-Daelt-AA said :

Knocking Out a player means clearly that you need to take his LAST chip from him. I he still has ANY chip(s) left, even one, he can theoretically always get back into play. There simply CAN not be a discussion, unless TWO players take a villain out AND win the pot in a tie. Then, and only then, could one argue (I don't know how they actually do it now) that the bounty should be split by the two winners.

Yea i know it's really annoying but think like that...
Sometimes someone will "steal" your bounty from someone , but other time you will do the same for him.
I know people are mad because people stealed from them Tongue.
And i agree about the rule about taking last chips... if the chip leader wouldn't go into the pot that guy wouldn't be kicked anyway so it's stupid to cry about it.
He get into so he is the one who kick him , sad but true.

Only if you boost oppo can have bounty, this is correct to me. Unitl he has chips he's chances to keep on torunament.Otherwise who could win bounty? When you leave him wiht less than a minimum?
