I think if I ever became pro, poker would turn to be a very boring thing. I mean, once I start doing it for work I guess it would lose all its appeal...

Naaah. I don't even wan't to be a pro. It feels kinda sucky and lonely (if you play on the net). There's a lot of funnier jobs, I think, and I got one of them. But for recreation, playing when you feel like it, and it's fun, poker is great. Especially when you make a small profit out of a hobby.
Turning it into a job just feels... sad. But that's just me. There is of course a lot of people for who it's perfect.

Let's wait and see. I was going well until last week, having a profit near $20-$30 a day, I was also spotting a move up. But a terrible downswing ... Damn extreme super lucky any2ers, second pair on the river is hell.

I don't think that I am going to be a pro player, because i don't have the time for it, playing poker just as hobby and preferably some additional income source.

same thinking Pjot, actually nothing to add or delete here.
i love poker, especially in a round with friends without money or for a few bucks, but i cant imagine to make a professional living out of it - every single day cards cards cards ? (sure...sometimes i play for hours but then agian i dont play for weeks or even months). just a hobby - if i make some profit cool, if i lose....well thats one of my hobbys ive choosen, as long as i can go happy to bed its all good. nothing better then a varied job imo...(note: my opinion )
No I won't ever be a pro for sure. I don't have enough time to study, to play live ( I think is essential ) and I don't feel like to spend 16 hours per day playing poker I consider this amazing game as an hobby
I would like to become a pro but I'm not sure if in my case it's possible... Currently I spend more and more time on playing poker, reading books, going through live coaching offered by poker communities, etc. My bankroll grows but because the stakes I play at are low it grows slowly... I simply hate my current job but it won't be easy for me to earn enough to grow the bankroll, secure the swings and withdraw some "decent" amount every month to pay the bills... Well, we'll see...
