Following closely behind is Scotty Nguyen on 981,5000. It was a mixed day for the 1998 Main Event winner though who incurred a penalty for swearing. Dan O’Brien was on the receiving end of Nguyen's initial outburst after defending a dealer who'd made a mistake. The 2008 $50,000 HORSE winner then played (and lost) a hand completely blind against O’Brien.
Still steaming, Nguyen then called a pre flop three bet with 7h4h then again called his opponent’s shove on a Kh7s3h board. The unknown player in the cutoff revealed pocket aces but a 7 on the river gave Nguyen a massive pot and prompted a further stream of invective, which resulted in a 10-minute penalty.
