Well, for me at least, working gets the money faster than poker Now, if it were for how to make more money faster in poker, my game and my vote would go to the Omaha games. Most people don't know how to play it right, and they stay on a hand with no possibilities, or don't stay in a hand when they have tons of redraws.

Yes it is, its the poker where there is the more fishes, and where the variance is the less important, so its much more easy to earn money playing no limit holdem than omaha or even razz (in razz, a winning of1BB/H is considerated like very good )
I find picking up a cheap double barrel shotgun, sawing hte end off, sticking a balaclava over your head and holding up the local post office, is by far a quicker way to get money...
The problem lies if the police catch you.. then its a hell of a long time before you can spend it.

Posted by Chartoule: I vote yes. No Limit is faster than limit, and the bets are higher (usually) than pot limit.
Are you sure? Let's imagine you start with $50. If you do some research you may find this reasonable expected winrates: NL: 10bb/100 hands FL/limit : 3BB/100 hands (Bets not blinds)
You respect bankroll management and you know you can play a NL game when you have 25 buyins and a FL game with 300BB.
With your $50 you can play NL2 or FL $0,05/$0,1, winning $0,20/100 on NL and $0,30/100 on FL. You grow your bankroll to $60 you still playing NL2 but you already can play a $0,1/$0,2 FL winning $0,60 on FL. On NL you will be close when you grow your money up to $125, you play NL5 and earn $0,5/100 almost the same as in FL, but in FL you need only $25 to get the $150 needed to play $0,25/$0,50 and win about $1,5/100.
Those winrates are only valid if you are an above average player on those stakes. If you are a good NL5 player switching to FL doesn't mean you will start earning more money per hands, you will need to learn a new game and get practice. No Limit and Fixed Limit are both hold'em, but completely different games. But there is a huge advantage in NL, a wider field and many more games to play.
I play both, but NL almost only in SnGs, which is a bit different from cash games.
I don't know and I think it's not so easy to give an answer ( serious ); you are encouraged to bet and to take more risks playing hands you wouldn't play in no limit: depends on cards dealt

This looks a tricky question: those who say this is the fastest way to earn money are those who never won a thing and the only time that happened, they ended up blowing the profits in the next minute. To earn money playing hold em you have to know what you are doing, and that costs time1
