I play chess once in a while. Used to think it was the most complicated game around, and I like a mind challenge.
Now I've been playing poker for three months and reading a lot about it. I'm starting to believe poker can be more complicated due to the far-reaching psychology involved, and all the other elements of poker, of course.

I used to be quite a good chessplayer when I was a kid.
Won the championship in my highschool, and won some sort of throphy at the local chessclub, but then I stopped playing, for some reason. Can't remember why now anymore, but I imagine it might have something to do with that the ladies weren't that impressed by a dude with such a skill and no moped.

yes chessplayers multitable much longer than pokerplayers. i once played against a chessplayer at university, i was one of 30 opponents at a time and he beat them all. after a player was eliminated everybody there could take his seat and start a new game. i think he won 70 matches that day and it was very impressive as he still had time to chat with the players. well, it was a professional and the other players were amateurs and hobby players, but i think in poker even phil ivey wouldn't win 70 heads-up matches against amateurs simultanously.
Of course because, poker is game that involved skill and luck and chess only envolve skill.

Yeah, I used to play in a chess club at school when I was in England. Now I'm in France and there's not much of a following over here. If I'm lucky, I play a couple of games a year.
