Actually I like to watch WPT shows. They usually broadcast close to all hands in a given sitting, so it gives more about how a tourney really is. To some people, of course, this is boring, though for me it is very interesting

I agree! WSOP coverage wasn't that great - they only broadcast a few key hands and nothing in between (I followed the LIVE coverage on the net and there have been a lot more interesting run-ins at feature tables than what was shown on TV) I haven't watched much of WPT lately, but from what I remember they covered more hands...

but wsop occurs only once a year, that makes up for it

hmm yeah, but still I think of WSOP more and more like it is pure show. So if I want to see things just for show, WSOP is perfect or even some Poker After Dark shows or something like that. If I want to watch "real" poker I try to check the WPT shows.

There is not that much poker on TV in Belgium (i have not the satellite tv), so i cant really understand. But i like to watch wsop on youtube, thats great. Wpt must be cool to watch too

you can find sme poker shows on AB3 and eurosports. Actually on AB3 you can watch last WSOP main event.
I prefer watching EPT or WPT on live, usually the TV table gives ebough action to be very intersting.
I prefer watching Poker After Dark or High Stacks Poker over WSOP or WPT. Since I have to choose between these 2, then WPT is the better choice. They show far more hands so the game doesn't seem disjointed.

wsop = utg raises AK x3bb, CO re raises all in JJ (he was shortstack), UTG calls . Flop : rags, turn rag, river K .
wpt = Phil ivey raises to 2.5 BB OOP vs Amateur player with middle stack, amateur player 3bet, phil looks at him guess for a while and 4bet. amateur folds...
