i know it only been 2 days into the new year but is any1 off to a flyer are you winning loads or just still getting them badbeats or even have you lost your bankroll
i havnt started playing poker yet not in the mood i had a plan to deposit £100 and build my way up, made another post about this called starting afresh 2010,

i'm down by 5 $, played 4-5 doubleups as had time to play before i join my work. but got unlucky often so decided to give it a rest, will try again tonight to win it back
I didn't even start playing again this new year, but I have, like you apparently, that I was losing my "zeal" a little and was having less and less interest in the game, mostly because I had a very bad run of luck in december. during the holiday period, where too many things happen to play a serious game (people dropping by unnotified, phones ringing during games etc.) I consciously chose not to play since I was having a fear of being interrupted too often and loose concentration, a problem that I have been having more and more as december's bad runs kept on coming. So if I played, it was just to kill time, which is not the right mindset.
However, I have been doing a lot of searching and reading during the holidays and I have found a way that will FORCE me to play regularly, with a great deal of focus, and with the advantage of having less financial risks myself : I just started playing staked games, and I find this is a great way to keep going, rebuild my bankroll without much financial risk (I get the money staked to play and keep a cut of the winnings and get a chance to prove myself and gradually get staked into higher stakes of games, thus having a good perspective on more decent tourneys and more winnings).
Maybe you should try it ? I can give you some great pointers if you want to
Anyhow, I hope you find a way to get YOUR motivation back and I wish you great winning AND especially a lot of fun raking in the winnings

Till now i hae only played one freeroll for serious, and it was running well during the first hour, i was in the firt ten when second hour started, but after tht i started to enter in a rush phase, because family was waiting me to go for a ride, and, pressured by them, game just went tilt till i was out in 37th, and it was paying to the first ten. Bad luck for me, but i am not sad, the year is just in the begining, things were running bad to durrrr too, in the begining of 2009, and look how he end the year, on top of all his oponents! Same will happen to me, i'm sure!

Haha, no, not at all. Haven't played a hand yet this year, with all the festivities and going around friends and relatives I haven't had any time for a single session! I guess I'll catch up next week

just played some hands yesterday, 6$ up (on NL10) but could be more if there wasn't this KK vs AA spot against a maniac. so no big winning, but poker wasn't that much fun for a long time. a guy was really on tilt. his opinion was that everybody at the table was a donkey or fish, though he lost more money than anybody else. a funny thing is that he was complaining about bad calls with gutshots, but he didn't recognize the other players also had nutflushdraws (this happened 3 times). then he started to insult the players directly, he told a brazilian to "go back to the jungle" and then called me a nazi (because i'm german). quite stupid to make racist comments and accuse others to be nazis at the same time. he later also insulted a polish and a russian player because of their nationalities. well, before he left he called the 2 other americans (he was a us-player too) stupid idiots. of course nobody contacted the support, it was much more fun to take his money and laugh about him, some players even made comments in the chat that made him tilt even more. i wish i had better hands, so i could have taken more money from him, but most of the time the other players won from him.
nice post raggamann, like you said bet you wished you had better cards so you could of taken more money from him, did you add him as a buddy? so when he is playing again you know where he is, play against him and put him on tilt, and clean the sucker out,
