if the raise is not that big and there are some stacks left behind, then you could get paid off if you hit your set. I tend to see flop cheaply with small pairs.

It usually depends on your opponent image at table , but i think you should call anyway because if you catch set , he might not be able to fold , and you double up or you might get a small flop , anyway it matters the opponent !

i think its a question of mtt, sng, cg....
call in cg can give you a big pot when there are enough caller. if it doesnt work you can reload simply. in a tournament you can loose a lot of chips...

If you have 10/10 or 9/9 and theres an ace, K J or Q on the board, and someone bets into you, heres a little word of advice... Its really easy to figure out really.....
FOLD........
Not always... if you raise pre-flop people obviously know you have good hand... and u can have the A/K so sometimes ofc it's normal to 3-bet ... But anyway i don't like hands like 9, 10 and J sometimes ...

There is no setvalue. The chance of getting my set is 1:8,5. So it's an easy calculation. In a raised pot you should normally fold your small pockets. You won't get always full payout, when you match your set, because that requires that my opponent also matches. For example you have 88 and the other player AK. At the flop you get your set, but your opponent needs minimum to get top-pair to pay you. Obvious this are all to mutch ifs and whens, so in a raised pot the fold is the best decision. Good luck
If we are NOT talking about the final stages of a tourney, the ONLY sensible thing to do as far as I'm concerned is to just fold. I WOULD just call a small raise perhaps, but not a large one. Mind you : you only have TWO outs to improve, and that's way too little for me to get into the game.

It depends on the game, how many chips you have, how loose the opponent is and how many other people are in the pot. If the guy likes to call and bet PF 30-40% of the time in a 10 seater and its for 1/5 of his stack, you might as well shove. Otherwise call if other people called his Preflop raise and if you catch a set then you're good

Hi!!
Depends of multiple factors like table, players, the strategy your are playing (is SSS you don´t have odds to call), your position, etc.. I usually raise 77+ and call 66- playing BSS.

Posted by mrnugger: how do you play small pocket pair , like 8 8 ,7 7 , 6 6 , 5 5 ..... For example , 10 person table and you are big blind and have medium stack , one person do a small raise like 1/5 of his stack and he has medium stack also , do you call or raise or do you fold ? Most of the times i fold with such hand because when flop shows nothing usefull and your opponent makes a bet you have to fold anyway or just play all or nothing hoping you still will catch triple .
88 raise raise raise.. 55 maybe sometimes rise some times fold ... its very important how you play you can win with 22 against AK and its 54% vs 46% so.. What you do with AK? just call ?
