Hello mobsters !
As poker players, it must have happens to you at least one time. You know, when you just get aces, reraise all in a fish : he calls you with 72 and hits his full house on the flop... or that guy pushing with nothing on the flop when you have the nut straight, easy call for sure, but he hit a runner runner flush... or even this full house (oh my god, you've wait for him at least 2 year !), your opponent is hot and you are happy: he push, you fastly call and you dont even look what he have, just wait to see the chips coming massivly to your stack but... wtf ?! your opponent have quads and you are beaten again... After this, no way, you play the worse poker ever, pushing with deuces, reraise with the third pair and calling a big pot sized bet for your gutshot... and its going worse and worse.... In one word : YOU ARE ON TILT !
So what's your solution to beat the tilt, or at least to shrink it?
For me there is first some relaxing music ! very important!
2nd : i try to stop play poker for the day or more (but when u are on tilt, you dont control nothing so its not always easy to stop : you just wanna get back what you lost !)
3rd, make something to unwind me : like play Left4dead 2 (a game where you just have to shoot zombie!) or sport !
4th : look at pro videos : by looking them you just remember yourself there is a good and a bad way to play, and that you can be a winning player with some concentration !

After a Tilting session I recommend a break: a day or even a week. Don't abandon 100% poker, use a good amount of time to study and make a more intensive review on your game (HM, PT3 and PO are not just to display stats and generate graphs). See what hands costed you more money, analyze you play, why you did it, what went wrong,... Study a bit more and regain confidence.
Publish hands and get involved in the discussion.
All these are task you should constantly as a player, but after a ugly tilting session you should do it more intensively and play less.
After that 72 hand..... INSTA-QUIT lol. But after having a brutal session on one site, I usually just switch to one of the other sites I also have a roll on for a couple of days, I find that always helps control losses/bleeding.
Taking a short break (1-3 days) is required. Go shoot some pool get drunk, maybe go to the gym, or whatever u do. Just make sure u don't even think off poker during your break.

Well, cant giv u any advise on this one, cos i never tilt anymore, well maybe a littl sometimes but that doesnt affect my game so i never stop. But yeh if tilt affects ur game then stop
I was on tilt for two weeks. I understand you. I have screenshots of historical badbeats, as you have described ( QQ vs 83o, AA vs 22, flush vs straight flush, etc ...) I changed of site, I took a no deposit bonus from other site and I decided to invest this money only for enjoying, without pressure of increasing my bankroll. It worked because I really increased my bankroll and when I returned to play in my usual site, I realized that I were Ok again

Posted by IslandJack: 1. STOP playing poker! Quick way to drain your bankroll, playing on tilt.
I kind of follow the "Left4Dead" guy... shoot some sombies and pretend they're "Bad Beat" hunters... (ie. all-in with 72....)
Haha, here we have another player... that's exactly what i was meaning

Lollllll TY for the kind words, but ur wrong, i am not a damn good player, i am just a rookie making profit trying to get better, my goals are very very high cos i allways want best. Looking back i am satisfied but i know i have to improve much much much better to reach the goals in poker i want. So coming year is all about inprove my game and improve my ROI
Btw hows ur roll? If i am right u was the one doin DoNs at Party or am i wrong?
I know what you mean about the idiot that goes all in with s**t hands and gets the miracle flop. Or the idiot that has no pair, straight draws or flush draw on the flop, shoves all in to try and bluff you out of the pot when you have flopped a set with AA, then gets the runner runner for the flush win. I get extremely pissed, but then after a few minutes I realize that I played the hand correctly and the dumb donk just flat out got lucky. Sometimes I keep playing and then sometimes I'll take a cig. break or play some of the games on my computer like chess, freecell, hearts, etc. or just flat out start downloading porn to see what kind of crazy s**t some of these woman are doing in this world.

TILT is something i try and use to my advantage......for instance. If i loose a big pot or make a bad call or get sucked out on I can feel the tention building up in me so i just let it out....Go all in a few times! Evryone will say oh he's on tilt but this can be turned around just pick your cards and pump pump pump pick up some blinds andd you'll feel better, then when a premo hand falls in your lap just pump pump pump everyone thinks your still on tilt and your bound to get a caller. OK so my plan if floored but it can work to your advantage if the table thinks your on tilt.

It was not at party, but i indeed posted long time ago a thread about DoN (and i remembered your answer : you told me it was a good way to grind a bankroll ^^ i tried, but was fastly bored about this... i prefer sng's with more actions). About my bankroll, its okay for now : on full tilt im at 105 $ (but withdrawn till i stop studying = 22 januari, so there ill grind and hope to reach 1000 $ in some month !). My global winning at full tilt is 255 $ (playing mostly sng's 2 or 6 $)
