What do you look for in a poker forum  0
As some of you most probably know I run a poker forum and website.

With it being the new year, I am giving it a bit of a makeover, and trying to provide the users with lots of things that they would find beneficial.

What do felllow forumistas think is the most important aspect of a poker forum, and what would you hope to gain from it.

Strategy tips for me, if you please

Every option is interesting, but strategy tips is the top of them if you want to play to earn some extra cash. NDB's come second, but I'm starting to feel that getting new ones is a waste of time, unless you want to move there.

i just reply to every1 post and give them helpfull tips
and answer there questions as best as i can,

i didnt know you ran a poker forum and website bet it hard work ,

firstly, new and old poker players always want a free bankroll, once they have there bankroll
they want a good site review on the major best sites and best rake backs,
then to impove there game they want good Strategy tips, (mainly from a top proven player) plenty of freerolls to get some free money and pratice in,

you have mainly covered every thing what everyone wants and trying to improve your site,
everyone wants free stuff dont they, more free bankrolls, no depoist bonuses, and freerolls, plus the free prizes you give away in your competitions,

have you asked what your users want? ( you dont run bankrollmob do you lol)

I am not allowed to advertise hte name of my forum for obvious reasons.

But should you happen to type pokerjokerz into google you will get a broad hint as to what its about.

And should you ever wish to help out by being a moderator, then please pop into the site and head for live chat where you'll find me about, or at least one of the team.

i think free bankrolls and freerolls are needed to attract new members to the forum.
and later if you want to sustain those members strategy tips, rakeback offers and freerolls are important.
activity on the forum is also important, noone wants to join a dead forum
imo site reviews, live chat not that important

I really like rakeback. It helps moderate your bankroll during a downswing. Whatever it is that u decide to do, make certain that it stands out from the herd. Another site I'm at was offering a 1 year trip to Gilbralter for it's top players.

I am very surprised by the results so far.

I fully expected everyone to say that they wanted no deposit bonuses or lots of freerolls.

I think I underestimated people, and kind of assumed everyone would want something for nothing.

I'll most definitely talk to some very good players and get them to write some articles for me.

For me its a nice way to keep informed off all the news in pokerworld.
I used to do the NO deposit offers but not anymore, i can have 2 free bankrolls on here but not for now maybe use them later to do a challenge or sometin.
Anyway more strategy is appreciated thats wot i miss most at this forum, for example instr vids.

Anyway fcumred carefull with advertising, when Tony smells it, its busto Agree

Rakeback offers Thumbs Up

I selected other because all of the above options are nice. I wouldn't recomend adding polls...lol. But a site geared toward tips/strategies and further knowledge would be nice. Rakeback deals is a must for so many reasons, for the site and the players. NDB's, well, those are nice too since I did one at Mansion and almost completed it. It benefited everyone, I made money and I know for a fact the amount of rake I generated so far is a s**t load. Basically, the more hardcore the site, the better Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I think some regular competition might bring you players, and at least, make people last on this forum : because, poker players like competition (are they shouldnt play poker!). So, if u give them some good competition, people will really involve in this competition and thus in the forum. It helps people to know other people of the forum (by playing together in the competition). So, if you can organize something really funny with a good reward, well i think you could have success Blink

I think stratergy is very important in a web site but in a forum i think you need a good administrator to keep a look over exactly what is going down..... No idiots posting crap and full blown arguments between people.
Some one who has a great poker knowledge and isnt affraid to share some tips and advice.
You also need some good posters who are on the forum for at least 2-4 hours a day during the busyest period.
Add a few polls and of topic threads and you'll be happy for sure......
Just take a close look at Bankrollmob.com for some good tips....LOL Thumbs Up

To give my opinion about all types of plays and ways of playing poker in the most honest way in order to receive the same type of answers from other participants. If its a forum, you make questions you would like to see well answered. You shouldnt answer like if it was a competition, or you will only try to "eliminate oponents" writing things you would never do on poker.
