Is it a good idea to play different games together?  0
Last night I found myself playing a 9 seater SnG as well as 2 cash tables (as it way happy hour and the extrapoints are a nice little bonus)
But after about 30min i found my self starting to slip on the SnG and playing it like it was a cash table!
Id call with middle pairs pre flop and bet with a draw just to get +EV from the pot.
I was doing well up till this point then went out shortly after (gutted)
I have done this in the past and never gave it much thought but i noticed this just yesterday and am wondering if this has been an issue before?

Any thoughts welcome.

yeah ive done the same,
but it was omaha high and low and then on another just omaha gets a bit confusing Confused
ithink just stick to the same game then your mind is just on one playing style instead of mixing it up Big Smile

I once played Razz, Omaha hi/lo and NLHE.
I don't do it again, it didn't work out very well.
They were all MTT's, but still.. Club

It depends on the day,

but usually I can play table cash and MTT tournaments instead wing play,

but that if given that each is a different system,

and being attentive at all times in both forms of the game.

I usually only play SnG or MTT together because strategies are very different and I don't want to be confused when I'm playing in cash and lose all my money.

Don't make it to difficult to yourself by playing to different games at the same time. MTTs and SnGs may be the only games that are similar enough to play at the same time.

I can play the same games, 3 or 4 tables (I've tried 6 but that I find it seriously degrades my already not so good game). so I can play, say, 3 NLHE cash games at the same time, or 3 omaha ring sngs at hte same time. i cannot mix them though, or I begin to do some weird stuff

Well i can play DoNs, Regular SNG and MTT together but i wud say its best to do 1 type off game at a time.

i prefer play only one kind off game .
but if u like play 2 kinds just practice this and become great player Thumbs Up

I many times play cash and MTT at the same time, so i dont get bored for looking at the monitor and only watching one game. That is the way i get not to start doing stupid plays and mindless bluffs. Another trick i use is to play poker and any other table game, to maintain myself the most concentrated possible: i will only look at the poker table when i really need and most of times this is the way i take the most conscious and profitable decision in what concerns to the way poker should be played.

I don't like playing 2 other games at once...
When i get bored i just open more and more tables and multitable a lot...
To bad when u got more then 20 tables the game it's a bit annyoing.

I used to 4 table PLO TURBO DoN's , 1-2 HU TURBO PLO and 4-6 SH SPEED PLO.
Its stressful and hard at beginning, but after some time, you play like a bot. Agree Anyway, its all about practicing...

i've played up to 4 freerolls at once...i know it ain't the same as real money, but...
anyways, i don't think it's a good idea, you might get confused. has happened to me a lot of times

I usually play one cash game at a time, maybe of a tournament starts i play both simultaneously for the first hour.

i play 6max cashgames and sngs, but not at the same time. in sngs you have to change your play with increasing blinds so its bad to get distracted, in cashgames (especially 6max) you have to get reads on other players, so you should spend more time looking at each table (the hands played while you're not involved can be important for you when similar situations occur. it is easier to watch them when you play cg only as many other players also multitable so you can watch their game at 4 tables for example.

I play sit and go, and cash omaha ( 5 tables togheter), one table is boring
