How much it took you?  0
well,i recently made my first deposit. $25 went to fulltilt and 25 went to poker stars. right now i'm with $1 in full tilt (tho i won a ticket for a big tournement on sunday) and 8 in poker stars (won nothin!). in sum, i've lost close to 42 bucks in less than...15 hours.
so how mich it took you to start winning? or is it just me that gave up his money right away?

it takes time to build a bankroll up so dont be too hard on your self, even if your winning a few dollars a day it all adds up in the long run,

just take your time, play at the right stakes for your bankroll and im sure you will do good in time i wish you good luck at the tables Big Smile

I won almost from the start, not much though.

And I did lose at least two or three 25 $ no deposit bonuses while perfecting my game to the amazing level I'm at now. (That is, I make almost as much an hour as they make sewing counterfit Nikes in sweatshops in Asia Minor. But I do not lose more than a session every now and then.)

Did you lose this money playing cash or tourneys? What stakes were you playing? Since you are playing at FT and Stars which room do you like better? I'm just asking to get some info. If I can make a suggestion, next time you get $50 look into a rakeback offer with a first time deposit offer. You will earn some money back from the rake you generate at the tables and also hit some deposit payouts along the way. This should help stretch out your money a little and hopefully you'll gain some experience/knowledge along the way. Of take up some of these NDB's to gain some experience, but would recomend only doing one NDB at a time.

Thanks for the post!
Really been screwing up the last few days... and WOW how easy it is to lose cash fast!!

I get the impression that the most important thing is to STOP when things aren't going your way.
Not always easy. Aww crap!
Tomorrow's another day, take the time to collect your thoughts and think about what doesn't work.

Its about 1 year ago I got $50 at Titan; now I have $52 hahaha.
Ok, i don't play so often, but the first rule for not losing fast is what my boyfriend taught me: fold, fold, fold, unless you have a good reason not to. Smile

Its not about time if about what you do and it seems you are doing the wrong things.
Take a look to some strategy articles.

Something tells me you are playing way above your bankroll here.

with a $25 deposit you really are limited as to what you can play. $1 SNGs or 1/2 cent ring games at the very most..

when i first started i lost for some time, but my loss was fairly small and short lasting.
don't play above stakes you can't afford with your bankroll and you won't lose it at such a fast rate.

I started with the $50 on Party (or was it $25 dunno anymore), i blew that in just 1 week.
Then i deposit $75 on FullTilt and was littl up cos of my bonus, so still break even player.
After i moved too SunPoker and since then i make profit every month.

Hi!!

Before start to play, there´s things you must know. What kind of play is better for me? In what stakes i must begin?

More, 25$ isn´t a good bankroll to start. Better have 50$ in a site that gives you rakeback (like FTP).

Bye and aces for all!!

does fulltilt poker always offer rakeback? or pokerstars..or do u have to take the rakeback offers?

Don't be afraid, it's only the beginning; keep on depositing and be sure you will lose some more Big Smile Big Smile Seriously, it's quite normal at beginning to destroy bankrolls so don't give up and use free ndb available here Blink

Play within the limits that your bankroll can support, don't play every hand and don't try to bluff every hand your in. To see that your on your 3rd deposit already, tells me that your way to loose for your own good. Typically playing more than 20% of total hands dealt is not good over the long haul

for a begginer and in low limits above 15% is pretty loose.
when i started playing one of my friends gave me a starting hands chart for micro limits , i sticked to it and begun to win most of he time, some time later i realized that i was playing 8/8 or 9/9 really NIT if you ask me... well, the point is that when you start playing u shud play REALLY TIGHT, even a 13/13 player is loose for micro stacks in my eyes.

You need to find your game.
By that I mean cash tables, sit&go's, tournaments....
That's what the no deposit bonuses are good for.
I lost quite a bit of my bonuses figuring out what works for me (and what I like), and started playing what works for me recently, 1 table sit&go's.
I love big tournaments, but don't have the bankroll yet for the fluctuations and bad beats (ie. luck). A lot of crazy people going all in with nothing and winning.
So I try to build up my bankroll now with sit&go's, and play some tournaments to see how I improve, while not losing my bankroll completely.

Good luck! Blink
