i recommend only bluffing in headsup games or when its 2 or 3 of you in a hand and the pot is worth trying to steal.

The best bluffers don't do it very much. There are a number of factors that u need to consider before trying to bluff. Some of them are

How many players are in after the flop....NOT a good idea to bluff with more than 2 other players post flop

Do u have a good read on the other player(s)......some people will not be bluffed.

Are u semi bluffing or stone cold bluffing.....semi bluffing would be something like on open ended draw, while a stone cold bluff would be like having hole cardsof 3-6os and betting out on a flop of A-A-K with 2 cards of the same suit.

Are u prepared to fire a 2nd or 3rd barrel to keep the pressure on or are u going to go with a 1 and done mentality.

Most of the articles I've read suggest leaving bluffing out of your arsenal until you've become proficient at your limit without it.

Depends on many factors as does a good bluff,

but usually only become the bluff an opponent,

and you have to know exactly when to do so,

because if you do it at the wrong time, you may bring a good joke,

so you need to know about all the time to do.

Semi-bluff? that does not exist! or your bluff, or don't! even the continuatting bet is bluff...and everyone bluffs

You might want to read some of the poker terms threads and see difference between CBET and Semi-bluff. If there is no semi-bluff then there is no difference, semi-bluff is a myth.

Shokaku made a good point.
You bluff if you bet without a hand or a very weak hand. Opponent should be able to fold to make a bluff an option.

and teteban too
you can't just come out betting like crazy when a 3 falls on a A69

And dont bluff too much is also a good advice.

NEVER BLUFF A BAD PLAYER Blink

Exactly! That is the best advice for a beginner who playes low stakes, i think, cause there are lots of bad players, who tend to call any raise with bottom pair. Club

it doesn't have to be a weak hand, but a hand that you think will lose if it comes to a showdown.
if you think you're opponent has the second nuts, but will fold on a bet than even a bet with the 3rd nuts would be a bluff. (okay this usually won't happen, just an example)

Any poker veteran will tell you that to be a good player you must think about many different things during the game

When players make mistakes because something upsets them emotionally, it is called a "tilt" or "being on a tilt." An example is a player who is a huge favorite in a hand but loses to an opponent who hits a miracle card ("bad beat" Blink. That player becomes so emotionally upset that he begins to make bad decisions.
