I think we all have dreamed about winning a hugh tournement or a bad beat jackpot or whatever but what to do when we would win a hugh amount ? As in most country's it would be a problem to transfer the money to your bank account because off the gouvernement . It's ok when you transfer let's say 15.000 $ to your bank account but as soon as the amount is higher than that bank has to contact gouvernement and then , what happends than ? for sure you will need to prove from where the money comes and if they know it's from online (gambling) because they see poker as gambling maybe you will need to give them half of the amount you won . Anyone know something about this issue ?

Dont know how it works it belgium (i'm belgian too), and im still not sure online poker is legal in Belgium :S Any lawyer here? Maybe if you transfer in 10 times (each time 10K) you dont have problems. I dont really know....
In my country they banned live poker from almost all venues. But they didn't put into effect any law on online gambling. As a matter of fact, gambling is not prohibited in Russia but restricted to certain gambling zones. So, technically you still can cashout your winnings with no problem as soon as you pay income tax on the corresponding amount. The funny thing about income tax is that nobody knows how much to pay for poker winnings: 13 % as for regular income or 35 % as for gambling income.Some Russian pros pay 13 %, others 35 %. No one has got into trouble so far.
use moneybookers and get the mastercard and u wont have any probs... if you withdraw big amounts to your real bank account, you deserve to get punished, imo...

+1. I'd use moneybookers or netellers, get the card, or even better, the virtual card and start getting stocked up on goods and selling those laundering FTW

easy to say , i have moneybookers as well as neteller but for me it's just ok to have some funds their but not a hugh amount of money . if you won big dollars you want to have the freedom to spend them in way you want in at least somekind of legal way for your country so that in time you would not have problems with taxes and so . if i would buy myself a new car tomorrow my neighbors would start to ask me 1.000 questions about it , if you live in a street where everyone knows everyone it's hard to spend money even in a normal way ! And are you so sure that moneybookers as well as neteller does not have to inform some gouvernement if they see a hugh amount of money being in your account even if they know very exactly where the money is from ?

i don't know what the rules are in my country, didn't withdraw money to my bank account ever. but it would be really bad if you lose a big part of your money as taxes

Staatssecretaris voor Fraudebestrijding Carl Devlies wil met de nieuwe wet op kansspelen gokwebsites die geen Belgische vergunning hebben blokkeren.
Elke goksite die in België actief is, moet binnenkort ook vanuit België opereren. Dus zullen de vele populaire internationale pokerwebsites niet meer toegankelijk zijn in ons land. De koning ondertekende de wet vorige week, schrijft De Morgen vandaag.
Op het internet gokken is voorlopig nog een illegale praktijk, maar daar komt in de loop van volgend jaar verandering in. Met de goedkeuring van de nieuwe wet op kansspelen maakt Devlies het mogelijk voor gokkers om in eerste instantie online weddenschappen af te sluiten en later ook poker te spelen zonder een proces-verbaal te riskeren.
