Posted by XenOsky: 2,3 and 4 are for me... and my bankroll management is not bad at all...
im good at multitabling and making fast decicions based on what i see and what i suspect mainly bcuz i played Starcraft in a high level for almost 7 years, when u had 300 actions per minute, playing 12-15 tables is easy... i learn really fast when i like what i am studying. and i have the "feeling" because of mass playing for the last year.
Looks like Bertrand Grospellier (as known as "Elky", if u played 7 years starcraft, you must know him). He is now one of the best french poker player. But look how he was when he was a starcraft champion and not yet a poker player, so sunny : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXwlyrjJjPc
haha, ofc i know ElkY, the first time i saw him was about 2002 (?) for the WCG, he had a really funny hair style... he and Guillaume Patry (PlayGrrrr) were some kind of super stars for the foreign community back then (by foreign i mean not korean).
actually i got into poker because of starcraft, somebody told me that old starcraft players were making really big money playing poker and it was completly truth.. just for name some players that you may know. Hevad Khan, well ElkY, Guillaume Patry (made an APPT final table) , Rekrul (he won the 2007 WSOP HU 10k event) i really think that starcraft players can make it big in online poker because they are used to spend a lot of time in front of their Computers practicing with a really high level of focus. and they have the stamina to play LONG sesions non stop.
Omfg that Elky vid really cracked me up
I also played Starcraft a lot, for me greatest game ever, cant wait for Starcraft II but nobody knows when they gonna release it imo. Anyway i can remember those days friends and me hooked on 2 laptops playin Starcraft, they totally hooked on Terrans didnt know wot to do with the tons off attacks off my Protoss, hilarious
Damn those Starcraft days............
Hehe, i see that there is some starcraft players here ^^ I have played it one or two times, not more, but seems really nice. I was mostly a warcraft 3 player, that's some good strategy game too ^^ (blizzard again !)
And yeah, this vid of elky makes me laugh a lot. Hard to tell yourself this guy became one of the best poker player xD

I feel like i have some of this characteristics you have numbered, but the one i consider most important as a player is my legendary patiente. That can look like something good for chipleaders, waiting for the next big hand to make a move and send one more home, but no, i think its important to always play in a conscious way, not wanting to win the tourney before it ends. For this, i always need to know a lot of theory, which i do, but its not the most important.
My bigget strenght is to play very unpredictably. I have a vest theoretical knowledge of poker and strategies, but in the end, I DON'T play by the books, I love to turn things around in an unexpected way. I guess being a psychologist makesit much easier on me to do that. I can always come up with some unexptected move and leave my opponents standing there with big open eyes from not knowing what just hit them

MY bankroll managment is solid. I work a lot to do it nice. No more gambler, no more SuperTurbo SnG. A nice job in the limit based on bankroll.
Bye and aces for all!!
Good work. Just that IMO, super turbo SnG's might be winning with a good bankroll managment. Only thing is that the variance is very important, so you'll get some low ROI (5 to 10 big max %) and must have a big bankroll.

Still a very small bankroll through the no deposit bonuses, but I will NOT lose it through proper bankroll management. ie. not a problem to go back to micro limits when things get rough.
I thing that my biggest strenght is the good management of my bankroll. I also have good intuition, important thing is to fold when is needed but if you don't start with game with proper stakes you are done.
After a few tilts I've learned proper bankroll management, so it's definitely my strenght now.
In regards to other aspects, I learn fast and I'm moving forward... One bad thing that I have to mention is my bad luck - believe or not but at most coin flips (or when I'm a bit ahead) I loose. It's unbelievable, but that's the way it is.
