To drink alcohol and play poker at the same time is probably nothing a single serious poker player in the whole world would recommend. Probably not even Ilari "ziigmund " sahamies, 26. However, he still did so last weekend.
In one his latest blog posts, he writes that he played "totally f drunk" and lost $500,000, then another $300,000 when he woke up with a hangover the day after. After that, he[...] Read more » Ziigmund played poker drunk and lost big

Who says poker players have to be role models? Poker isn't poker with-out all the degenerates that play and make it slightly entertaining. Imagine sitting at a table with greenstein or harrington clones all day every day. Yawn.

I like playing poker when I am drunk, but I never win when I am drunk
However it is great fun and okay maybe you lose some money, but you would have spended it anyway if you went to town and drank beers and drinks down there.

I think that is a big no no, to play poker when your drunk or fell bad from some stuff (hangover or sickness), It is never a good ending for your bankroll then.

You know I always say drinking is the wrong thing to do, But I seen a player at a $1/$2 table that was drunk and had won $400 and was playing supurb while making everyone think he was toasted, But unfortuently he had a very bad beat and lost $300 in 1 hand when his Kings full lost to 4 of a kind, The look on his face and you could tell he wasnt that drunk, Dont ever fall for the fake drunks, Dammm now I want a beer and I havent had one this year yet lol

Funny ... and now it is real or not... maybe he is just talking he was drunked so it wouldn't sound so bad and people will not make use of his mistakes. Anyway when i saw him playing sometimes i was thinking he can be drunk so... nothing changes . Gratz for the winners ^^.

What?! was he in Oz to play in Aussie Millions? i'm not sure if i remember his name mention among the participating players? (maybe he got drunk and got kicked out from Crown ) although he might've played on high roller tables...
... and btw, the tennis court where he watched Henin lose was Rod Laver Arena, not "Red Label"

Haha, hes really good at spewing money. But I tend to lose only a few hundred, which is pocket change compared to him. Poker and alcohol isnt the best of mix if you're trying to make money...
