Posted by doomdy: Lately my results are a littl bad on DoNs, break even that is, but 85% off my building Roll comes from DoNs only.
ok for the "tight is right" suggestion but I guess it is generally known between DoNs players. Most of us know you are a semi-pro (sorry, I know you hate this definition) on DoN an you have built a nice roll with them: do you have some particular trick or suggestion to share with us about DoNs?

Well offcourse i am NOT a semi pro Anyway, dont think i have a trick, maybe this helps: -Early stage ---> Uber tight, AQ, AJ, KQ, all crap ---> fold. -Middle stage ---> Uber tight, but when u see a spot for steal, try get it. -Final stage ----> Use ICM, watch stacksizes and clock
General: Never attack big stacks allways attack middle stacks.
Hope it helps
Edit: Allways multitabling them, 4/6/9 tabels to shut the variance and have a good rakeback deal offcourse

Congrats, you are doing good! Never mind about leaders, those guys play as a daily job, its really unreal! But i just wanted to say i play a lot double ups but also other types and just a few months ago i noticed that double ups were where i make my cashier grow and others, that i play just for fun (although in real money) was only making my wallet empty. So i realized that, if i quit being dumb and start playing only what i could win at, i could take some profit out of this great game i really enjoy playing.

I wish I could stick to playing just DoNs but I find them so repetitive and thus boring. Much prefer cashgames although in the longrun I probably win less

I can only play a few games of DoNs. For me its just too slow and repetitive. I prefer cash games but i guess if one can stick t DoNs then its more profitable since you can play so many at once.
Double-ups are the kind of S&G's I win most moeny in. There are indeed relatively easy to get ITM, especially if you have a god tactic, and that is the key to winning these kind of tourneys. I kept stats for thse, and make it ITM in over 90% of the games I play. I only find it a bit annoying that they call it "double-up", because if you count the fees, you don't really get a full double up, quite a little difference that adds up if you play many of them. But still, they're my biggest source of winnings, no matter which site I play them on.

You are doing very well. I also find out myself that double up games ( I prefer 6 handed ) are the best to built your bankroll and also your point balance.

DoNs are great to buidl bankrolls as most people don't have a clue (yet) as to how to play them. doomdy is spot on with those strategy tips. Also, they are great as 'tilt coolers' as you HAVE to play them tight; they may help getting your mindset back

I will also try to quit the cash games.....I just cannot break even I and I am always down altought I
play strict poker and dont tilt but I just cannot do anything against the donks......and I noticed that I
am doing well at SNGs.....
Arent donks the one who pay mostly off to us in lower stakes? If your -EV then you should look into your play.
From my own experience i can say DoN´s are profitable but if youre not going to play then every time you play poker for hours and multi, then its not worth the time and money - you can make a lot more in casahtables, tourneys and regular sngs.
I also have played DoN´s with Doomdy in PKR.com and even same stakes 10+1$ it was back then about a year ago .
