I'm trying to solve my tilt-issues. After a few bad beats I go tilt. Best thing is to take a break and calm down...I don't know any other specific technique of "how to avoid tilting", unfortunaly...

I agree ... but its mighty hard to actually take the break instead of fastly trying to win back the money you just had sucked from you.

i usually tilt , but i get more angry when they are super tight and after i loose some big pots they keep instant fold to any bet ... so i have to throw away some big hands when they usually call ...

Dealing with tilt is easy if you can spot it coming... OR Just keep winning then your tilt gland will be inactive...lol It all depends on what makes you tilt who, what, why, when, all factors you need to understand and reconise inorder to work on. What I try to do is always come off at a point where you are up (cash games) obviously in tournys you cant just get up and cash out. Quit whilst you are ahead this will reduce the chance of suffering a bad beat or making a poor decision. I've sat down for a night of poker and come off 20min later, yeah I didnt have the "night of poker" that I set out to have but I did come off a winner and for me thats enougth! Have a cup of tea a fag or so on then come back and start again, all fresh and ready for another game. TILT happens to all of us dont hate it just learn to use it, reconise it and let it go it'll only affect YOUR game so others will benifit if they notice your all crazy....

Usaly I dont care if my AA or KK loose, but when I see that I can have some tilt I better stop playing for a some time and when I think Im ready I play again and it help me very much. Its Ok when from time to time you loose with very good start hands, so dont tilt only for this.

I don't worry about bad beats at tournaments, but at cash games when I see my cash go away to a crazy caller, who outdraw on the river, I tend to take a break after a few hands.

most times it is fine after my bottle smashed through the room Stop playing is hard if you play tournaments. and maybe you were multitabling... so leave (a tourbo) tournament you already paid for?!
