Last Sunday I was following Sunday Million tournament in Pokerstars. There were 36000 players and they were playing for 15 hours. When they were 3 people left I could read at chat how 2 players wanted to chop. I've experienced this kind of deals in live tournaments but never in online tournaments. They were writting at chat all the time "chop? deal!" but one player didn't say anything. So, no deal! After that, I read PokerStars rules in order to know if chopping is allowed. And yes! it's allowed! If you are in a tournament, if all the players in prize agreed, PokerStars can cancel the tournament at this moment and chop the total amount of prize. I didn't know it and for me it's been very curious. And for you?

i think its a good deal for players in big tournaments when they have to play hours to reach the final table and are very tired, and if none of the players object then i think it should be no problem for 2-3 players

Much easier at FT were players just have to tick a box and then decided the pays between them, PokerStar u have to call a Mod and they do its for you, but all have to agree and there always one greedy git, FTOPS Main Event this year had a 7 way chop at Final table lol

I know that chopping was allowed at most poker sites, but i had never seen it happen with my own eyes, maybe it's time to get to the last 3 and make a chop myself.

Dude, looks like you havent dominated on final tables a lot in bigger poker sites huh ? Ofc we all know that, every poker players knows it (I hope ). I like PS and PartyPoker system the most, because there you can decide how you want to split the % yourself.

they cant chop and stop the tourney, they mean that hand, in these tourney they can make a deal if the whole table agrees but a certain amount of money has to be set aside for the winner

In NEARLY every high tournaments there are deals... on Poker Stars u can watch nice tournaments as video showing everyone cards... i was watching some of them and at every tournament i saw there was deal at end.... I remember when one time people wanted to deal 3 of 4... the lowest stack wanted rlly to much and he said to want to play and spammed about play... Second hand after game started he was out ^^ the 3 left get same ammount of cash ... Weird cause there was one bigstack like x2 the other 2... maybe he was low player and ammount was so big for him he didn't care of playing more ^^.

Your deduction, apart of being offensive, it's not right. In my case, when I play I always disable chat. Maybe I've reached final tables but I had lost the chance of split prize because I don't care about chat.

Congratulations, you are very clever because you already knew it; as I said before, I knew it in live tournament but I didn't know it how to apply to online tournaments. I thought it was an interesting topic to post because I'm sure just now there are a lot of players, like me, who didn't know it and a good chance to learn more.
