Hey all, I'm wondering what style of play is better suited for Micro MTTs (Since I mainly play micro games). Know alot of ppl might be inclined to say that aggression is a far better strategy but is it truly better? I mean look at the loose play that happens in Micro games, there-fore would'nt it be better to play "TAG" rather then a "LAG" games, since majority of the time your opponents are more willing to call you. I personally tend to play an ABC style type of poker (I don't really see a better style to use when playing micro games), but if you do that's what I'm here for.
Mainly I don't make moves unless I'm in the Cut-Off, Button, or SB (Note, I wont make a move unless it's folded around to me). Now with that being said when My Opponents call, which they do most of the time). Then I C-Bet on the flop, then they call, then what, deal with a calling station, and what if we air ball the turn? Check to them, so they can make a move against us? Or continue with our aggression? Personally I prefer aggression against Passive/Tight players, that way when they do call, we know they have a actual hand, rather then playing some person who's just constantly keep on calling me.
What do you all think? Aggression pros and Cons, and Passive play Pros and cons, not to mention passive play actually saves you alot of chips
Don't really know what you want me to say cause you kind of go around in circles and answer your own questions. In the micros and any other level of poker, like you said you want to play tag, which is what I try to do most of the time. But if I feel it's ok to loosen up then I switch to a more lag style but don't ever stop playing aggro. Passive play, no it's just not the correct thing to do in my opinion because you are allowing players with possible draws into the pot very cheap. Or if they are already in the pot playing passive just let's them stay in the pot for free and catching something on you.

TAG is most safe play, so until you reach limits, where is lots of metagame, id stick to TAG. offcourse, folding a hand TPTK against some donk two pairs takes strenght, but still

In some situations, passive line may be the best line. Generally speaking, you risk running out of chips if you don't play aggressively at tournaments. If you are lucky and get good cards and your opponents bluff too much I guess you could get into the money with a tight passive play, too.

i don't like to play passive as most of the times it gets you in trouble. i think you should adapt your play according to your opponent and be variable so that your opponents have a hard time figuring you out

Depends on the game, where you are at, and the other players. I'll play more passively if I'm at a stage where "every chip counts", I mean a lot of agression at the table and your stack is dwindling, no use throwing chips away on a "test" to see who reacts after the flop for example. My two cents worth...

Hello everybody! I think he should play tight and aggressive after the flop. And especially to adapt to its opponents. In micro stake there are many players in their extravagant way of player and it benchmarks faster. Just after taking into account this advantage. See you soon for new posts!

Of course you need use both, all depends of players that are at table, against agresive players you will play tight and against tight players you will play agresive.
