hey!! 75 is my favorite hand lol. I'm guessing you won a bit of cash before this hand seeing as you went all in for 97 and called 16 previously you seem to be doing great, keep it up!

GJ, thanks man, I do play high stakes live, but online I still have a funny feeling of something wrong going on. I still find it very strange to bet thousands without even looking at your opponents in the eye! Do you ever have that feeling?

I hate to break the happy vibes but TBH this hand and your reasoning are kinda suspect. Firstly, buying in short sucks. You're playing 25 big blinds. Just buy in full. Secondly, it seems like you are playing at a level way too high if you think $4000 is a big bankoll for $2-$4. IMO you should have roughly 30 buy-ins or $12000. Playing this high is unrolled is really bad. Thirdly, limping UTG with 57s when you have 25BB is horrendous. When you are the first player coming into the pot preflop, you should always be raising. You are badly out of position with a muck hand. Calling the $16 is standard cos you are getting such good odds and you are closing the action preflop, and flop is fine.
Nice result though, and I hope you put the proceeds to good use, and don't take shots so high!

For a table in which the max buy-in is $500, a player to have 4k I consider it a great job, don´t you? Or are you the type of fella that every time you buy-in for $500 you leave the table with $4k or higher and think that this is insignificant.
By the way, I did too leave the table with over $4k, and this is pretty regular for me, that´s why the choice of $100 to start out with.
You seem like you´ve done your research about everything mathematically related, but computers can´t make heroes.

Ah I think I see another misunderstanding Mr. Fodz. I believe we were confusing the terms bankroll and stack. I would usually take bankroll to mean the amount of money you have in your account in total, rather than the amount of money you have at the table. I would usually have called that your stack. $4000 at a $2-$4 table is 10 buy-ins is lots and lots to have at one table!
And regarding the maths thing, it does give you a massive edge to know, as it will tell you which plays are good and bad, etc. I would regard knowing the maths of poker as the most basic aspect of the game.

Edit: Oh and congrats on the spin-up!
Yes, indeed I wrote "bankrolls" instead of "stacks", that was my mistake and I do apologise to everyone for that.
Yes, the maths involving poker should be on the mind of every player, this is a great advantage of course, but please do bear in mind, especially at the age of 20, there is so much to learn, and with time you will see some things that will change your mind a bit.
I´m not saying you are wrong or anything like that, but believe me, you r game in a couple of years will have changed drastically, and some rules that you thought were "unbreakable", become dust.
That´s all my friend. Thanks once again for the feedback, keep them coming.
