i dont have vista, but i do remember reading about vista that to download you should use the administrator or owner account and that there's some box you need to check or uncheck i believe in internetproperies before you can download... hmm this isn't any help to you... let me look it up and edit this post if i find something
edit: Start Internet Explorer Select the menu Tools and the sub-menu Internet Options and there the second Tab: Security Make sure that the first icon of of the world: Internet is selected. Than chose Costume level Scroll down to: Downloads Make sure that 'automatic prompting for file download' is checked

I dont know about Vista more than how to remove it from your system.
What it could be besides administrator account is that some firewall or perhaps Vista firewall is blocking banners and thats why you cannot download or use some of the casinos. Try disabling banners blockade and it will probably be fine. Maybe update on Flash player wouldnt hurt. I have read somewhere that in some cases you have to go to .exe file of particular client you want to run and check some adminstrator checkbox. If you know how to find .exe disregard this, right click on casino or poker you want to play and select properties, you will have "Find target" option below and it will take you to the .exe file you want to change priviliges. It takes you to the folder where .exe is located and .exe is selected by default, and screen is centered. Right click on that .exe and select "Run as...". There you select what ever states as Administrator. Most likely "The following user".

Uninstall Vista. Microsoft put that fancy colorful OS on the market for pure marketing reasons. They could upgrade XP with those feature it they wanted but then it is a SP not, a new OS so they cant sell for profits. My sugestion too is uninstall if its not in contradiction with your warranty. Use SP2 and latest aditions to it. They call it SP3 but it is not because there are only critical updates to SP2 components. If users of XP fight bravely against Vista they will eventually have to acknowledge that Vista is big mistake and let users upgrade their XP with so called Vista unique features. Look at directx 10.1 story for starters and that is only one out of many so called Vista unique features that had to be allowed to XP users, so it is not that Vista is so advanced it is just that they dont want XP users to have access to those features and they are colluding with hardware manufacturers in these matters too.
