sleeping is very important, not sleeping regularly can finally eat you alive, ive worked 10 years in casino, mostly night shifts. after 3 nightshifts at the row you wake up like junky - you just have to get next shot

+1 !
Sleeping is really important when it comes to poker, tho most poker players ignore that as much as they can lol. I worked before in a Prestigeous hotel in Tallinn Old Town as a front desk administrator and sometimes I also had to do night shifts. I always avoided doing 2-3 in a row, because that ment that all I did was working and eating - no training and free time. Good thing init was that I took my laptop with me every time and played some poker if I had some time

I worked in a hotel reception too, and once i did 7 nightshifts in a row. I did it on purpose, cause after that i was quitting that job, and wanted to make sure i really don't want to come back
But actually i liked working at nights, lots of free time.

Oops! For the Americans i'ts about 19h-20h in the evening when it's 02h here, so these guys are WIDE awake when you hit the Rush tables.... Tha's the problem with FT. I played the daily Dollar twice, starting at 02h15 here in Belgium. By the time I got to the last 200 (out of 10.000), it was 09h00 in the morning here! Try keeping your head moving around big stacks without screwing up when daylight hits you right in the face. Got booted with AA against KQ and won only $5.... after more than 9 hours of play... That's the only thing I hate about FT, the tourney times. And Rush scares the s**t our of me. Played once. One hand. All-in KK pre-flop with a big pot first hand, lost $10, didn't even make it to the next table.. Maybe stupid but Big oops!

Posted by dozn01: hi all any1 up,
i went to bed couldnt sleep so got back up and lost $50 playing rush poker, was bored and still half asleep oh well..............never mind
anyway whos up here, what ya up to
Dozn01 you are a true player... who gets up and go's straight on the poker? what sort of example are you setting here? you are truly adicted to this game aint ya! I only wish i had your appitite for the game! You are on it when ever your eyes are open aint ya...lol Do you have insomnia? I lernt a long while ago never to get up and straight on it as it does seriously damage your game. Last time i did this was a disaster i lost well over $50 more like half my roll (at the time) maybe $150 really can remember now. just that it was a disaster. Anyway i hope it didnt put you back too far.
------------ You must put some serious hours in yeah.
$50 for me is quite amount of money ... I don't know your economical and personal situation but with wife + flat + mortgage + 2 cats I can say that $50 is a considerable amount! I remember when i was a teenager, living at home with my parents, earning lots of money and spending it on my own ... what good memories ... !

Hi dozn01.
50$ in Rush isn´t a big lose. To play Rush Poker i think we must be in the better condition possible. Not playing tired or drunk or something like this.

Bye!!
well, the guys i played there seemed to be very fine with their drunk/sleepy-style. i got 4 badbeats and one set-up in 2 minutes, hey on a normal table i maybe would have played 5 hands in that time. so no more rushpoker for me.
But it is allways a bad idea to play poker while not fully fit.
yeah true the $50 didnt hurt my bankroll at all this was just 1 buy in for my level,
still got another 199 buyins to go
was just making the point dont play poker half asleep
i dont know why i even started to play i was nackerd but could nt sleep that night, just bored i think............ when i lost it i thought what im i doing........ just wasting money, was not even in the right state of mind to play, so playing drunk and lack of sleep is just the same you make stupid mistakes, and not in the right state of mind to play................
may this be a lesson to you all cause i have learn now from this
