Luke Schwartz: Isildur1 is Viktor Blom Published on 26 Mar 10 11:00 by Jonas
Luke 'FullFlush' Schwartz claims in his latest interview, that Isildur1 is indeed the nickname of Swedish online pro Viktor Blom.
Source: PokerStars Blog
Once Isildur1 entered the high stakes action back in 2009 he quickly became one of the most talked about players on the poker scene, as he made life hard for fellow players such as Phil Ivey or Tom 'durrrr' Dwan.
He mainly participates in Full Tilt Poker's high stakes action and has, it seems, only rarely been seen at live events.
His possible participation at the WSOP 2009, where he supposedly played one of the craziest hands ever seen in live poker (see video on the bottom) in the form of real player Viktor Blom, seems to be an exception.
Still today, it is not absolutely certain who hides behind the pseudonym of Isildur1.
Yesterday, Tony G invited the hyper-aggressive pro to his latest offline event and offered to help him by hiding his true identity with a mask. And then, Luke 'FullFlush' Schwartz made a bold statement in his recent interview...
When Schwartz, who is close friends with Isildur1, was asked if Isildur1 was Viktor Blom, he replied: "Yes, yes, yes" and added: "He's probably one of the best, if not the best, no-limit heads-up player in the world but he can still go broke every single time he opens the laptop. He's younger than me, he's 19 so that's going to happen to him for a few years."
But why does such a good player still lose so much money?
"Isildur can play a 48-hour session, be up $5m at one point, but then lose it all in the last two hours. He's obviously got degenerate problems like that, but hes also got a big heart for the game, likes to gamble and he's very, very good," says Schwartz.

Well, maybe it's him alright, but I'd like to believe that pokerpros DO HAVE A LIFE of their own when they finish a poker session. Isildur1 sure is very young and can be very focused in his game without having any everyday cares besides poker, but I don't think this can go on forever... In my point of view, balance between real world sessions and poker world sessions is what makes a winner last.

Well, I think it's really his true identity. his playing style is indeed a like an aggressive young European player and I also agree about that he'll get broke in a few years... anyway I hope he'll accept Tony's offer, as I said before it'll be a good laugh to see him playing that show with a mask with Tony's trash talks going on.

LOL, I think this will never happen. This sounds too funny even now and I think Blom is not gonna wear some mask just so Tony can make jokes over him lol
