I don't know enough to make any real solid argument but housebots are definitely a huge issue.
They win the site money, fill up tables therefore making the site look more active than it is and falsify the idea that there's a live player on the other end of the connection.
PKR gets over this to an extent - a bot doesn't check their cards after they have been dealt.
But online poker needs an overhaul otherwise soemthing similar to black friday will happen again - Blue Monday?

Even if they let 1 housebot play every tourney on Pokerstars and let him finish in the money a lot this can mean 100dreds of thousands extra for Pokerstars every year. So when people ask why would they do it...well...obvious...money off course.

I repeat: You are a losing player, which means you LOOSE money playing poker in the LONG run. Thats no problem, but complaining about rigged/bots (bots are easy beatable btw but NOT for LOOSING players) ect makes you a RIGTARD = fact.
Put your time in reading books so you can 1 day be a WINNING player instead of being a RIGTARD.

The return of this discussion remembered me of the story of the superheroes at Yachting. @erik197, you started this conversation 2 years ago already referring that “lower stakes Hold'em tables at most online casinos these days are becoming bot wars” and now we see new poker rooms with few players and a hand full of regulars at lower levels that win almost all that is to win. Is this coincidence and there’s just a few guys with similar nicknames that are playing in the same room, still getting the profits of the fact that the room has few players (til it growths, if this ever happen), or this can be lower stakes bots that are mining the new field?

wow a robot that can bet for me and make me rich, i cant believe never thought of it sooner. need one of those asimo things from honda to take to a casino with me. or stick my iphone on the taable and let siri deal with it poker trackers annoy me more than bots, have to bet stupid all the time so they cant get to good a read on me wreckon i could get a read on C3P0 but you could never tell if R2D2 was bluffing

All seriousness though, remco I hate to say it, but if you've put in as much volume and won as much as you say you have, I really don't think you'd be taking the "online poker is rigged" stance. Every decent poker player knows that the only ones crying "rigged" are the ones who keep losing money. I could easily list several reasons WHY online poker is rigged, but I won't waste my time since this is a pointless discussion, just like the thousands and thousands of other "rigged" threads floating around the net.

Hot keys aren't botting. Botting is when the play is completely scripted, removing any and all human play completely.
There's a HUGE difference between using a bot, and just hotkeying common actions. A lot of mass tablers use hotkeys, as it'd be too hard to keep everything sorted out if they had to rely on the mouse. I even heard of someone that used an xbox controller instead of a keyboard and mouse.
