what chance do i have when i get deep in a tourny i run into a complete lucky donk all the fucking time makes me sick
He was lucky but the movement was pretty good, a little aggressive from my point of view. He was in the button, all the opponents folded. Connected cards is not the best hand to shove but is good enough. Unless you had a monster, SB and BB should fold. Even u had a monster, he would had some probabilities to win. Sorry but for me, i agree he was lucky but don't agree he was a donk

well i disagree as i said he did this 3 times in a row hes going to get called from almost anything as he had did this 3 times in a row, I also dont think the all in on the button is that great of a move anyway as people will call u light as it is so clear what ur doing. I pick up alot of chips from people doing this as people think u cant call but sometimes its clear u are just stealing and im not one against stealing but doing it all the time with complete crap is just donk stuff my eyes

Don't complain if you call an all-in with AK and lose. It will happen all the time. Even against complete junk, like in this hand, you will lose one out of three hands. So get used to it.

Shokaku is right. But also obviously dont know the player but you took a flip, its highly likely in this situation that he is holding PP, or a compleat donk(even if his range is lower than most lets say he will push with any suited connectors then your getting bad odds), personally I wont take the risk this late in the game with a nice stack, better moments will come. Better luck nex time.

i was no complaining about that i dont complain when i lose with As or Ks i was moaning about i get this crapy luck against these people everytime like that hand or calling all in on the flop with a gutshot and they hit. I was just pissed at the time i did this thread because i run into one of these guys all the time that just get plain lucky and it bursts my nut thats all i was saying @b1gfoot i thought he maybe had a pp the first few times but i was sure he had nothing and the 3rd time in a row im thinking right ur just taking the piss and even if i had As i would of lost. To be honest i thought he had a rag A

I understand what you mean and maybe you're right, he was a donk a you were unlucky. What i've seen is that notes you take from other players sometimes make you make mistakes rather than help you. Last night, a donk re-raising all my raises and trying to steal me all the time, all-in every hand and so on. Sometimes his cards were shown and, obviously most of them were crap. Final table, i'm the bubble, BB and that guy at SB. Everybody folds and this guy shoved. What do you do with AJs?? Obviously i called and i faced two aces. What can we do? Anything but crying

argh, taff. i would understand if he was really short on stack, but his stack is fine imo. So a raise could work, but an all in shove is just very loose.
That hyper aggressive, shove with any 2 cards at any time is actually a strategy. I think this is how Durr, Sigmund and Hanson like to play, along with nearly every italian player I've watched.
