I recently made deposit on Stars of 25 dollars and my plan is to get to 1200 so I can take my girlfriend of vacation to Cuba. I started out playing 0.05/.10 stakes and went up to 40 bucks. Then I started playing .10/.25 and still am. Its been four days and I am at 161 dollars Feeling good about it so far. You think ill succeed or fail ? Ill also take any good advice if you got any...
If you have a bit of time up your sleeves all i can advise is to follow good Bankroll management. No matter how good a player you are you will always find yourself hitting some downswings.
My only other advice is perhaps set yourself a bottom point where you withdraw. Now that you are up to $161 lets say if you go down to $60 you withdraw and just take her to dinner. That way even if you lose you still won.

I suggest a better bankroll management and would invest ,once or twice a week, part of your money on some MTT (like $10K guaranted or similar) to try to cash a big prize.

I think you will succeed, but i dont know if you will be able to achieve your objectif within the limit time. If you want to take you girlfriend on August, it will be a little tight, because 1200 bucks will not be enough for that travel!
Yes, good idea... I see you're not respecting BR management there but I understand you because your goal is different here... as someone mentioned above, I don't also know if there is a time limit to do it...

Well you have made a good start If you stick to a sensible type of bankroll managment and do a propper grinding job take very few chances but maximize your wins. Keep your feet on the ground and never take all your bankroll to the table even when the goal is in site by that i mean if say you was gonna withdrawal at 1K and you get to 800 dont think it will be easy to play a big cash game like 5/10 and win the rest in no time......this oftern ends in a massive hole in your bankroll. You might get lucky but think about all the time and effort you have put into building this maney up, to loose it all in one go will crush you deep....(i know) Stay focused and i wish you all the best...good luck and may you have many great cards......

hmm... you only have 6 BI for 25NL? One downswing/bad session and your back at 0. I would suggest to play NL10, you still have time, until you have 15-20 BI for 25 NL (not optimal, but will greatly reduce the chances of going broke)... good luck

yeah that a great project if you make some mtt maybe you will reach more faster ( i like more sit and go and mtt) anyway good luck and at some point you must follow bankroll management
I must admit I always feel confused when I read post like this; not for plan in itself but because seems I'm the only one who is not able to respect plans Wish all the best for your trip to Cuba
