Last night the Inaugural World Team Poker tournament comprising of 8 national teams took place at the Golden Nugget in Vegas.
The Chinese team won the event and $300,000 while the Brazilian team was second and took home $100,000.
The Greek team although without any flashy names in its roster but mostly comprising of young bright internet poker players, managed to finish 3rd after some epic battles on the tables. This is the highest greek poker achievement so far, which will bring more people to endorse poker as a sport and hopefully will loosen the laws about poker here in Greece! 
The USA team, although consisting of Hellmuth, Ferguson, Brunson, Harman and Lederer was more of a disappointment as they didn't manage to get a player on the final table..
It is said that next year there'll be 32 teams which will heat up the competition!

^^P.S. : I stayed up all night watching the tourney from live streaming!!!!... It was 100% worth it! The poker community here in Greece is very pleased with our 3rd place and maybe next year we'll do even better!... Congratulations to all players of all the teams...
