I haven noticed alot of threads about people going busto with their free bankroll, im fed up of this lol so heres something for you all. It should be common knowledge to all poker players but i shall post it anyway.
Lets assume you get $50 free bankroll. To begin you must and I emphasize on the word MUST be playing at a:
* NL10 level of $0.05/$0.10, 10 seats or 6 max (personally i prefer 6 max) *and you must only sit down with $2.00 no more no less. *rebuy when you are down to between $1.25 - $1.50 up to $2.00 *you must also leave when you are up to between $2.50 - $3.00
if you have performed this succesfully and reach a balance of $150 you can then if you wish move up to:
*NL25 level of $0.10/$0.25, 10 seats or 6 max (once again i prefer 6 max) *you must only sit down with $5.00 *rebuy when you are down to between $3.50 - $3.75 up to $5.00 *and leave when you are up to between $6.25 - $7.00
if you have performed this succesfully and reach a balance of $400 you can then if you wish move up to:
*NL50 level of $0.25/$0.50, 10 seats or 6 max (blah blah blah) *you must only sit down with $10.00 *rebuy when you are down to between $7.00 - $7.50 up to $10.00 *and leave when you are up to between $12.50 - $13.00
if you have performed this succesfully and reached a bankroll of $800 then you have learnt and appreciated what true sustainable bankroll is about at which stage you can play at which ever limits you chose, that doesnt mean go and pay some NL $5/$10.
If you follow these guidelines you should have no problems what so ever. At the lower limits there is also a certain way you should play. Dont ever think you can out play your opponents at these levels....... YOU CANT. At these levels i like to take the ALL IN approach, which means if you have a solid hand preflop, raise. if its raised before you move all in. If you induce a fold..good. If you have a made hand on the flop push all in. Be happy with what you have infront of you, dont think 'if i slow play i can get..more' .
I have skimmed through the basics and posted some guidelines, if any questions arise please feel free to ask.

I think its to much. most people say u should have a bankroll of 3000 BB. in the first case, u need 300 $ to play 0,05/0,10. I think thats to much, but i would say around 100 $.
If you play on low levels, you dont have to follow these "rules", but as higher you get, the more important these rules get

These guide lines, are made for lower levels, but they are only guidelines and im not pushing them on anyway. I followed these guidelines and as i have stated and now my regular game is 3/6 NL holdem and 3/6 PL omaha H. They clearly worked for me.
------------ The buy in rule that i now follow is, when i decide to try a new poker room and make a deposit i make sure i have between 40 - 50 buy ins. The reason for this is the limits i play are much higher and i play 6 tables at any given time. I have now reached my comfort zone and i rarely go out of it. My comfort zone is the level at which im paying now ( 3/6 NL 6 max and 3/6 PL omaha H 6 max) sometimes if i get a little crazy i go and play 10/20 nl 6 max and maybe 10/20 PL omaha. thats if im in the mood to get my assed handed to me lol

Nice, that strategy reminds me of SSS. I guess it´s a good and safe way to slowly move up limits. I would recommend it to anyone who has just received their bonus. Too many busto stories, right Marco? Good post.

It is very similiar, i think that it is the foundation to building a bankroll. i went with it and i strongly recommend it. Unless everyone could list there pokerroom names here and when they will sit down with their entire roll so i can come and take it lol.

Posted by snuzzy123: I don't even play recommended tactics, it's better to make your own tactic I think ! if you have 100$ it doesn't mean you can't try 25 nl ! good luck
if u play NL25 with 100$ u are doomed to loose your bankroll, you can be the best in the world and still get cracked by them hitting 2 outers on the river and so on.
i havent used your specific strategy but i do agree with having very strict bankroll management if you want to get anywhere with poker. I follow the idea of short buy ins and leaving once you get deeper stacked.

Hey marco, nice thread anyways, i think you're fed up with me coz im one of those people who gets busted. I'm gonna try to deposit soon and use this strategy, however, in some cases that I use SSS, other players always tend to overbet on preflop and I always fold if I have mediocre hands. there's just some maniacs who goes all-in if they see you have small stack. how can you counter this?

hey im2good4u, i love having maniacs on my table when im using this strategy, all u have to do is wait for your big hand and (usually) they will double u up. and even if they get lucky your only losing a tiny amount of your bankroll. MANIACS = MONEY

Yeah, but the thing is, even they can hit runners on the turn and river, happens to me most of the time, nut flush getting screwed by quads, I go all-in they still call.

------------ i thought that you left the table when youve got up to $6.25 im sure i read this but i think thats when your at a 010 025 table
