I don't know why the hell I do it to myself but once again I entered the daily dollar at fulltilt. This always proves to be huge mistake since it starts at 2.15 am and I need to play way past the early hours of the morning to make a good profit. It's now 8am and if I get knocked out now I'll have given up going to bed at a sensible hour and faced hours of very boring but sensible poker for a whopping 11 dollars.
Why do I always suffer from some poker amnesia and buy in to this ridiculous tournament? Sure if I make top ten it will be extremely exciting and I'll experience the mere possibility of earning a thousand dollars plus for 1 dollar buy in and that itself will be very nice. But then I've been dreaming about the first place prize since two hours ago when I was doing very well and hit top 30. Now I'm 48th of 78 remaining players and I'm dreading what's likely to happen.
I can't believe how steep the top 20 prizes are. From 30$ to $1600 even though there were nearly 10 000 entries. I mean omg that's an insane difference and if I go out now I get just 11 even though I had to go through a hundred donks to get here, gave two bad beats, was on the receiving end of about ten times that, and have half the average chips to show for some good and consistent play.

well, I would finish it if I think I have a chance, otherwise, shove all in everyhand and bad beat everybody until I get kicked, if I loose no problem, I get 11x my BI and I can go to sleep

Theres an eairly one, think it starts at 7 or 8 pm (UK) but you will have the smae problem, it will turn 12 and you will have a big stack and still 500 players to KO to make the money, been there done that and always think the same thing. But look at 1st place 1.5k if you make its worth it, i say play hard get a huge stack or bust out, 1-3 are the only prizes here, hit hard play fast abuse your stack.

Sorry about the delayed response but I'm only now getting out of bed. In the end I lasted about another hour and won $30. I was hoping I could take back my comments but unfortunately not. I bust out with A2 in the big blind. I was something like 23rd position of 26 and the small blind min raised. I had to go all-in and he called with k7 even though he only had a big blind left back. I guess that's pretty standard considering my range. I actually felt I played pretty good throughout the tourney so I'm a bit disappointed but thirty dollars for six and a half hours is not so bad.
I wish I could say that will be the last time I play that stinker of an mtt but it's probably not.

That is well played indeed . I have played it also 4-5 times and cashed 3 of them, one time in top 100. And I know some our forumites have been even on final table in thisone... If you gonna try it again, good luck with it . But imo its not the way to grow your roll .

Yeah, Fulltilt is really good looking, great support, quick software, but you should be unemployed or a student to play there. All night, if you live in my country, six or more hours. But if you're lucky, you may get a buck or two. If you aren't then all you get is a bad hangover.

The most that could last in this tournament were two hours if you do not final table not worth playing many hours for so little money It is my view point..regards
it's amazing how long the tourney are long but what I hate is the dumm players at the end with less 100 you cannot believe are people play with 100 left ( 4-5 hours of play )

I played it twice and got kicked in 200th after 8 hours! $5, I think it was. Was either going to double up and be first (I was 60 something position, went all-in with AA against KQo, and the first 2 cards on the flop were ...you guessed it ...KQ)
So I kind of hold back before I sign up for this one...
