All in favor of outlawing the ALL IN button on Players Only?  0
OK, look. I don't know how many people out there play at Players Only. They are the only site "That I know of" that has an ALL IN button right next the the Call/ Raise button; as opposed to manually going ALL IN. It is my conclusion that this leads players to be more inclined to just go ALL IN instead of strategically playing a hand; it's one of three options right in front of you. More people go ALL IN here and don't hesitate to call compared to any other site. This makes it difficult to play a real game of poker. Has any had this same experience? Do you guys think that they should take the ALL IN button away?

Sometimes i beg people to move all in and you complain of that.
Just wait till u have the nuts and then call any all in.

Looks like a french version of the client software. Blink

At some rooms it is really difficult to go all-in. Players with just one chip left are quite normal, so an all-in button comes in handy.

If you can't stand players pushing all in all the time, try pot limit games.

I'm pretty sure there are other sites with an all-in button though I think some sites have better sliders/buttons than others.

I don't see how all-in can be one of three buttons at the front. I think you must have that wrong. There has to be both a fold and a call button or fold and check button so I can't see there being only an all-in button in place of a raise. I think the best sites have buttons for pot-raise as well and some sites may put an all-in button if the pot is too big.

One of my favourites is bwin which gives you four small raise buttons and a slider to set the raise before you click. I think other sites do this but I can't remember which. If I remember rightly party poker has a pretty poor slider where you have to drag it manually to go all-in and end up going all-in bar 40 chips.

I have been to many other sites. Some sites have better button layouts than other sites. At the end of the day it is the players fault for not clicking the right button though. If someone is just clicking away without thinking about what they are doing then perhaps they need to take up bingo.

Everyone (except the player that goes all in) comes out winning, the site gets more rake and players tend to make more mistakes, put that they go all in because there is an all in button.

There is plenty of sites with an "All in" button. ANd personally, I don't like the manual "sliding to allin" option.. If you're multi-tabling, or otherwise pressed for time, the quicker you can perform any action the better.

Plus I'm a heavy computer user and enjoy the use of many short-cut combos in many programs and dislike anything that is inherently slow where it could easily be made faster..

it would be unfair to the site, its their design, so, better leave it that way, unless; u had a better site design for them? Smile

I like all of your responses. I would prefer it to be manual/ have a bet the pot button etc. It's not so hard to merely slide a lever to go all in. Some of you said you prefer the convenience. Well, I still stand on the fact that if it's too convenient you'll overuse it; which it is overused. So, as far as a new design goes... Cereus/ full tilt/ stars are all good. They don't have that button right there. I believe that is for a reason. I really don't know why Players Only would do that...

You are right, the position of the buttons and the interface might really influence the way u play.
For example : if there is a 'bet pot' button, well players will more often bet the pot, because its 1 clic in place of 3.
So, if u know yourself as not enough solid player, well they should remove this damn all in button that make you push when you know you should'nt !
But, if you are a solid player, well its not a button that will decrease your game. Thus this button is a benediction for u : fishs will go easier all in and you just have to wait to collect chips !
