I play online, because it is more pleasure, and I can play at any time. Sometimes I play live poker with friends, it is more funny, we can talk each other, but we can't sit down every day to play. And online no needed dealer, or somebody who makes decision in difficult situations. So online is better for me.

I don't have a chance to play a lot live, but I would prefer to do a lot more of that. I like online a lot, just want to play more live. It's VERY different, IMO at least.

For me poker it's only online: it is so comfortable to play at home whenever you want, for all the time you want, at the hourt yoou want ... and so on...

I think, even though live is a bit more exciting, online has much more pros than live : -You can play whenever you want to -You get a huge variety of different games and limits -There is much more comfort, because you are at home and also, big thing, there's no poker tells to hide, so you can say "YES" with a big smile when you hit your flop, which is harder in live ^^ -There is less rake -Game goes faster and you can multi table so no frustration of not playing for long time -Big promotions that you never can get in live.
That's why alltogether, i prefer playing online than live.

100% live ! The feeling after winning or cashing in deep final table is not even compareable with online tourney win. + I can say In Your Face and show the door when I bust a donk whos been sucking out me before early stages
I remember my first tourney I played it was 30$ rebuy close to 100 players in Olympic casino, and I sat into a table where were 6 old sharks all on top of that casinoleaderboard in poker. They made a joke on me that new chips are in table and easy money etc etc. But I bust out few of them after 1st hour and the attitude changed a lot. I cashed that tourney in 4th place and got some respect. In online when you win a tourney, you are forgotten the very nxt minute already.

I love playing live but dont get much of a chance anymore, if I play my friends they know were the money is going, not that it maters cause the money is spent on beer and food, but we dont play much anymore. , played in a few pub games, they are a joke. But the big + to online is Im not restricted to when I can play, I can choose my victoms, have a HUD and a fair few notes for the regs,, get to sit in the comfey seat, listern to what I want and PPL dont know when iv had a few
Not the first time I read a post like this one and the answer is always the same: online, just because I'm not a pro and I can't spend my time ''working hold'em '' in a casino

yeah live poker are the nuts, thats the only way u can play real poker with all the options thats make the game so fantastic. For me it´s better to see the other players. But i´ve not so much time to play in a casino or with friends as i want.So i play more online as live
------------ Kristan +1 thats right the feeling on a live winning is more better then online and the respect too. But for me is poker a gentlemen sport.I think is not good to playing the big man when u kick out another player donk or not.A little smile maybe when u win and then the next The most of the people with big mouth´s are so still when he lost a big pot and u can see the tears in the eyes

Great points guys. I agree with pretty much all of the things you have said. They definitely both have there perks. I think Live is great because:
1) You can read a lot more into your opponents' personalities 2) You get to meet people and have good conversations 3) You can learn from people who have more experience than you 4) You can talk and empathize or congragualate on good or bad losses/ wins 5) You can cash out on the spot (BEST PART)
Online:
1) Much more money to be won (unless you play in Vegas or big casinos a lot) 2) It's never ending (also bad) and you don't have to drive to the place 3) So much more variety
But, I think live wins overall. It's poker in it's purest form. Online is kind of perverse. It's a skewed version of Poker. With out a doubt, there is such a fine art to Online Poker. But it really is such a crap shout sometimes. Of course you can play perfect poker. But, the wind can change so rapidly. Online... it's not goin' anywhere. So, if you're on tilt and are compulsive... consider yourself fucked.

well depends on what you mean by live. I mean playing with your dudes a homegame is live also... but i would prefer online than.
A real live tournament i only played once. And I directly came first out of 133 winning a TV It was very exciting and important for experience. I slowly think about playing some more live events. but at first i will stay with the free ones. (The Tournament I played was managed by somekind of club. Buy-in was 15€, but when you were playing there for the first time, it was for free. Winning money in Tournaments which are not in public Casinos is forbidden so i won a TV becoming first)

Same as me... multitabling... I played some time ago some cash tournament live (ofc small in my city) and it was kinda boring to w8 for some players to move... Also you can play online at home which is also big plus... when sometimes u look like s**t u still can play ^^.

I think they really are two different games...for online, multitabling is a must, and a plus. But I find live is more fun, as you can react and make people react too more easily and more noticeably
