I have to confess...I just returned from a party at my university, pretty drunk. I sat down at Titan Poker and just wanted to play a riskless fun session, invest about 100 $. Some 6-handed 0.50/1$. I said: If I lose it, I go to bed, if I win something, Ill go to bed an hour later. I ran into a terrible player who hit a gutshot against me after heavy raising action on flop.
Went on insta tilt and guess what:
I dumped 1200 $ within 50 minutes in HU matches at 1/2 and 2/4.
I swear Ill NEVER play drunk again, since I just feel terrible now.
Im a very skilled NLH player and I know Ill win it back within a couple of weeks ( hopefully), but since I have to finance my studies on my own, this was a real hit to my finances.
Ill bang my head against a wall now for a couple of minutes and hopefully sleep.

was that $1200 from your roll on the site, or $1200 from a credit card or something??
If i deposit, I always to a bank xfr which takes 2 days to clear on site. Makes it harder to blow non-poker money from tilt, cause i know i cant keep playing if i go busto.
But if its from your roll on your site not much you can do.. cept not play smashed lol

I feel your pain Divinitus! I won 71k in a bad beat jackpot in NY casino... After that I would drink and say the same thing as you.. If I lose this hundo I'll stop.. Just doesn't happen like that when your drunk you always think you can get it back.. I did it several times and still do it today! It's the worst feeling in the world waking up the next day wondering wtf just happened... Needless to say I'm broke and the reason is playing drunk poker or betting drunk sporting events! It's life and it sucks to think about but point is I feel your pain and I felt the burn on many different occasions.. Good Luck in the future!

Yeah classical mistake ! Really hurt, but i think you better to this mistake now with 1200 $ than later when you have a job, a family and a house : the 1200$ would easily become 12K $ ! So i hope you really got your lesson and if u want a good tip : when you know you go to a big party and that its likely you come back late in the night, just block your poker account before to go to the party : many lobbys allows you to block your account for 12h or 24h, just check "responsible gaming" options.

yeah i agree not play drunk or too much hours.But i remember as i have played with my friends last year we have played more then 10 hours and drunk a lot was 9 or 10 in the morning i layin on the couch and they wake me up every time as i must act.I only do all in or fold and won over 100€ in the last hour
