i'm quite the newcomer to online poker. I've only played for a couple months trying to start off my bankroll from scratch. I've recently managed to go from 0-£30. Playing SSS what can you do to not tilt and rage?
Today i have lost 2xAA, 1xKK, 3xQQ, 3xJJ preflop and multiple pocket pair limp trips on the flop. I keep getting suckered out by straights/flushes/higher trips.
Now down to £12 and i'm pretty anxious i don't lose the rest, it takes ages to start off!

you are so wise
wish it would be so easy to follow this advice
------------ maybe just have a beer, relax, watch the soccer on tv, come back to the poker table and be CALM that is the best possible advice i can give
of course I don't know if it's your problem but maybe u get so thrilled having aces or trips that u want to get the most out of it(understandable) and then not bet enough and get to many callers. U have to look at the potential at the table and not make it worth for them to call and if they do call be sure it's a bad decision in the long run, condsidering the pot odds. I'm not that good at it myself but that's the plan GL

Cheers for the posts,
i relaxed a bit and finished off the night at £21. It's frustrating having to fold hands at the turn/river that i would have otherwise played if my br weren't so low.

With sss u can have really big swing sometimes... cause u play only best hand and they like to get bad bets... that's just standard but when u have low bankroll it hurt really much and can make u think u play rlly bad. Also it's not to good to go all-in with JJ preflop (if i read good u're talking about that).

That is a bit harsh.
If a player goes on tilt easily he should either stop playing after a bad beat, or he should play so many tables that he has no time to go on tilt.

Do like me, if you loose 1$, then bet 2$ on the next one, if you loose again, then bet 3$.. etc
Joking.. Haha
How I avoid tilt? I don't, I keep playing, but I get really agressive later, and even get more money.. Lol The tilt is there, doesn't affects me playing poker, but irl, noone can come close to me So when someone is at home, I just stop playing
Anyway, I don't know what limits u are playing, you should try the lowest ones... and try to find a strategy if you don't have one yet Remember, on the long run against those fishes, you will be the winner Good luck with that

Tilt is just a part of the game, just like a rocket. Tilt is for everyone. It can happen it will happen. The best way IMO to controll it (for now) is to switch of the computer, find something else to do, some days luck will kick you in the teeth, and normall PPL do react and it will influence your game. But dont worry, the more you play the more you will start seeing tilt kicking in and you will start learning to controll it, losing is a part of the game, so here is my tip, lose a big hand to a lucker, laugh, smile and play on, the hand is over, you cant change the past. BUilding a roll takes time, but the more you play the and earn the eaiser it gets. SSS is probably the best way to start if you like cash games. Anyway, your lucky val, most PPL would have lost thier whole roll in your situation, well done for keeping your cool and saving your bankroll. GL Nice tip for the NoOb looking for help from some of the bigger players Doomdy

as for me, it is main and greatest poker skill: to fold! seriously. when the turn/river comes you must not think about chips you've put into game before. they do not belong to you anymore. Just think about those chips which are still yours: is your hand worthy of risking them?

Doesn't affects at all? Being over agro is standard when you're on tilt... u don't belive in people hands and play to agressive some weak hands... I tilt always for like 2 min after some creepy hands...cause nearly always when i see i am at tilt i start to use brain again to be back on track.
