I'm pretty sure Hitler is generally regarded as the baddest man ever.
Also, apparently Ghengis Khan and is pillaging/raping is responsible for a substantional portion of the asian population and even a substantial portion of total world population. (I read an interesting thesis on this, with many authors). So maybe he is more bad-ass than all of them.

As I recall, Hitler was only responsible for the slaughter of several million Jews and the destruction of half of Europe.

It can not be Hitler, 1 he is dead so there for a "was", also he only had 1 ball not quite a man, but almost. Again this would also go for Ghengis Khan. But we mus not on this point that they were leaders and the killings were not carried out by them, only by order, wich in turn makes them cowards. If we can vote for these "cowards" I vote George Bush, he is still killing people and now passed the blaim to a black man, knew he was genius really. Outside the coward list id like to vote for our own Dr Shipman, but killing old people, does that really make you bad, too many coffin doders around if you ask me, and them churches sure need the work. Hmm...it becomes quite hard, OK im going for Cliff Richard..Im sure I need not write why.
To summarize for those who don't like reading: Across a large region of Asia (16 asian populations) ~8% are descended from Ghengis Khan. And a whopping total ~0.5% of the entire world population may have descended from Ghengis Khan.
Thats a LOT of raping. He had something like a 800,000:1 more successful rate of spreading his seed, than the average man.
