No, you cant play poker in linux because 99% of poker rooms dont have linux version of their poker skin.
PS. Why dont you crack your windows, just go to google and search for "windows loader" or "windows activator"
Ofcourse, you should buy legal copy of windows, this illegal activation is forbidden in "normal" countries like Holland.
Lucky for me, I live in Serbia, nothing is normal here

lol isn't there any copy-protection laws in Serbia?? wtf. I know Sweden had it good for a long time, that's why Pirate Bay operated out of there. They very nice laws regarding intellectual property rights, should you wish to be involved in the software pirating industry.
edit:
OP: There's plenty of windows emulators that'll run under Linux. Personally, I think dual-boot is a better option and keep a copy of windows for for games/poker/everything else that doesnt work on Linux.
Otherwise, some rooms support browser based play, such as Party Poker.

"Serbia is the leading country in central and eastern Europe, with a 78 percent piracy rate. Croatia has around 58 percent, Slovenia 51 percent and new European Union members Bulgaria and Romania 71 and 74 percent."
Yes, we have laws regarding intellectual property rights.

Posted by schmoyster: Funope, Poker Stars installs and runs smoothly via Wine emulator in Ubuntu. Can't tell you about other poker rooms.
I would make a suggestion, that running PKR under emulation probably wouldn't be so smooth. But most other poker software is VERY light on system resources and any decent/modern rig would be able to run it under emulation.
