Last month, for example, he ended up losing 2.8 milion dollars and took home the first spot in the list of August biggest losers online.
I must admit that he has been very unlucky as well. But still - a big poker star like [...] Read more » HighStakes Report August: Gus Hansen's nightmare continues...

Why not??? Its not his money anyway, that is money from his sponsors (he is FTP pro, so they stack him).
I'm not worried about him, he will be playing poker as long as he lives. He'll never be flat broke, doesnt mather how much he lose. It will always be someone to loan him money or stack him.

Posted by doomdy: Gus makes his own nightmares playing against to big sharks for him. Gus can make profit np, just play 1 or 2 stakes lower and he do fine.

I don't think this is true. A) I'm fairly sure FTP do NOT stake their pros and B) He can certainly go broke. C) People WOULD eventually stop backing him if he kept losing

Every poker pro have contract with poker room. Pros do not play at FTP or Pokerstars for fun. Pros have some kind of credit or sponsorship, for sure.
Gus Hansen will continue to be a big draw for Full Tilt Poker, and there should be little chance of him going broke as he is a Full Tilt Pro and as such has a lucrative contract in place, as a PART OWNER of the site.
Gus Hansen will be active in poker as long as he live. Like Doyle Brunson.
