I couldn't agree more about the fact that you ought to learn to play without an application, but a player needs all the help he can nowadays. It is not fair to play against someone who has more information then me.

exactly, i think a good poker player doesnt need a programm. when u r sitting in a casino u cant use a programm....so i my oppinion u should learn poker correctly and not the cheaty way.
This programs are GREAT to keep track of your game, for BRM, and for finding leaks in your game. Having features as money lost from what position, all your specific hands and how you played them, statistics on sessions win rates, etc. They don´t tell you what to do or when.

Last people saying you don't need a tool like that are naive. Without them at cash games you're busted. I noticed people use them even at micro stakes.

I hope I dont sound stupid, but I have never heard of these applications to use? Is it something you play against the application and it gives you information on how your plays could be impoved? Is this something people actually use online at poker sites against other players who just play-the "good ole fashion" lol ...way? To each their own, and I don't see any harm in anyone trying to improve or learn, but in my own opinion I get confuzzled sometimes reading strategies and such..and when I try to implement somethings I have read, I seem to get off my game. Again, not bashing the use of apps, just very curious about them. So any info you guys could share with me is very much appreciated. Have fun all, and GL at the tables!
