As someone said here.. for every donkey in your case scenario there's 10 losing. The point here is, you have KK other players can raise all they want, and I, personally woulnd't like to go all in ANY pre-flop hand (even AA), but, that's not enterly up to us, so if someone is pushing you ALL-IN and you are holding KK, I think you must call. The point is, you can lose, but you will win a lot more times in the same situations calling with KK.
About donkeys, well, I don't play high stakes but I guess in $5 tourneys buy-ins there shouldn't be many of them (not saying fishes, but donkeys), so I am suprised this can happend multiple times in $5 buy-in tourneys. When I play freerolls (which happends quite often since I'm a fish) I happend to come with players doing all-in almost every hand, and it really puts you in jeopardy, because you can wait for a premuim, you are seeing Doneky goes all in this time too but you hold QQ, you call and with his 58o he hits three of a kind. It's really frustrating, the only way around is build your bankroll and leave freerolls, and as you get better, and higher tourneys, donkeys will dissapear.

+1 Thumbs Up agree with everything what youre saying, only the last part of the post. - donkeys will always stay in tourneys no matter what the buy-in is.

I played in the beginning of this month a tourney with 270$ buy in, and I did really great, until I bubbled close after 5 hours of poker with KK against 22. He reraised my raise postflop and went all in with pair of 2s - I did called and he hit another 2 on turn and that was it for me. Frustrating, but overall in ran very hot and going to play it again, because on a long enough timeline the survival rate for every donkey, drops to zero. Means no more donking out with 222 Blink

at the long run they loose whit such hands but of of they have some % to win with such hands.
it is not fun when you loose with kk against 22 but you have to acccept it. i mean.....poker is a game you an never know what ards will come on flop Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!

Thanks Kristan. You are right on that, I've just not played big tourneys buy-ins, so I was assuming really begginers (which ussually have troubles handling emotions) weren't willing to pay such big buyins. Now I consider it twice, and think of wealthy overconfident people.
About your hand, I don't understand it clearly, you had KK and he 22, and went to the flop. Well, when i mean those donkeys which me me very angry are the ones who are willing to go all in PRE-flop with a marginal hand like 89s . If I hold KK, go to the flop and I am re-raised all in, maybe a I can discard straight or flush but not a set and in that case I may fold my KK ((size of the pot and my stack would drive my desicion here). Now, maybe that dnky was trying to push you out with a bluff (mistaken of course) ?

Did some flush "fishing" myself when I started out, I must admit.
But really, it doesn`t pay off.
Don`t worry, just a bad streak.

Got my AA busted yesterday by a "Flushfisher" who got runner lucky calling my all-in after the flop.
Nothing you can do about it, just don`t do it yourself.
Very expensive habit. Blink
And a no-win proposition in the long run. No doubt about it.

Really no way to avoid bad beats like that, or avoid bad players for that matter. Only thing you can do is play your game the way you know how and hope for the best. Happens at every site...

I don't understand why people complain... to be honest bad beats are our friends not enemy....
If there would be no bad beats most of fishes and donks would end playing really fast... bad beat is the only thing who keep bad players in the field and it even make them play bad cause they think i won like that so i can go like that again!
When i got bad beat sometimes i am mad but you need to think about it other way.
Ofc in MTT it's more annoying because u need to fight against more situaton to get a bad beat . but fishes/donks are building the pot for the prices in MTT also mostly.

since every starting hand has some winning % pre flop once in a while they hit.
You got him calling with 2-7 your all in, that says everything. You played it good and you just ran into a lucky bastard. Sometimes that happens a lot, but most of the times those guys build your early stack. In those situations the only thing I might write in game chat is "monkeys randomly hitting buttons".
Me myself just expierenced those kind of players yesterday in the 5000vip promotion on players only. Made me mad for 5 min and thats it. I already decided to deposit to playersonly next time I have some money to spend, because there seems to be a nice overlay almost every tourney and the first hour of those tourneys is a real donkfest.

Take those idiots and bad beats as they come, move on quickly and dont think about it. In the long run you own them easy. So will I Big Smile
