Yup! this another of those chat requests Admin...
Why oh why is there no chat function?
Some of us would like to insult each other personally, so why is there no chat? Are there legal issues? Monitoring and time issues? Are the programmers a bit lazy? Too stupid? Emotional issues?
Can`t be bothered to look up the endless stream of past requests and the disjointed replies, so I request here (respectfully, of course ) a summation of reasons why it can`t be done. ( You could always copy/patse).

might actually be a good idea instead of running around the forum, why not just ask anyone available at the forum. might even save you guys some monitoring duty on the forums.

Because we can't monitor a chat live so it will be spammed with affiliate links and competitor bonuses.

I'm sure there's BRM users who've managed to sneakily get their msn id's etc shared here and do chat..
tbh, i couldnt really be bothered.. i love the forum, but i dont need more people not to talk to on my msn, and I aren't gonna join a chat room.
theres a chat box which bankrollmob can puton there web site called zaats or somethink like that, but thats connected to other site but like the admin says it will be spammed with affiliate links and competitor bonuses. too much of a headache

Really?
I just don`t chat on the Poker sites, except on some of the BRM freerolls, that`s different.
Funny thing, on FT you can`t hide the chat (or maybe I missed something), and last week this guy didn`t like my agressive heads up play and started off by calling me a donk, and from there it quickly became an incredible stream of non-stop insulting like I`ve never seen before. Unbelievable that FT allows all these words in the chat function. He was quite inventive really, but I almost considered reporting this guy. Unbelievable. I don`t know where he found the time to actually check or bet or anything... I finally got rid of him after about 10-15 min. of verbal violence, because that`s what it was in the end. Crazy stuff...
Anyway, I understand about the chat, just gave it another try... But I guess we could chat on a poker site and pass on some info, like you said.
when I was a child some time ago now am afraid to say we used to get 2 tins and put holes in the bottoms then join them with string this enabled a working chat facility of reasonable quality now if you were to get all the members to get a tin and we could also get enough string I am sure this would work although a waiting list of some sort would be necessary to avoid overload
