It's been some months I am playing on a new (to me) pokerroom and when I shark my opponents sometimes I see: - people who locked their shark stats (only registered - paying - members can see stats is set up their accout properly or something similar) - people who reset their stats: I' m sure cause are people I already faced but shark shows they played only 2 or 3 sng (maybe they reset stats dayly).
What do you think about it? Do you think it could be useful? what more useful lock or reset? when it could be usefulin your opinion if you have good stats or bad stats?
I'm very interested in this topic and really need your thoughts.

PS: poll needed?
a payment must be made before you will have access to your stats... lol... i don't even have a bankroll, so what's the need for stat..???

Posted by eugen85ro: No, resetting your stats is not possible, it may be possible some players were not tracked but they cannot reset stats.
Sorry to say but you are completely wrong my friend; just go sharkscope and check the FAQ, you will find, between others Q, the following one:
Q: Can I reset my stats? A: yes, just choose reset username under option menu.
------------
Posted by Sapoazul: I think that they would not offer the option of reset stats, because this changes the real stat of player, and this is the function of sharkscope...
they do offer this possibility
maybe only for registered members, I don't know cause I never did it

I would think very few use any tools to track other players stats, maybe i should start, i have never used any software or tools to track such stats. Has anyone noticed a real improvement in there game using such tools?

LOL YUP
Gotta love people posting incorrect information as fact. People can and do reset their SS stats.
Personally - I think people who reset their stats are more often fish than sharks - but certainly can be sharks..
I blocked mine on PKR where I play - basically - I have a positive ROI (on average - i make money on a game) but a negative profit (because whilst I average nice results on the sub $20 SNG/MTT range I too often get hammered and play over my BR and busto lol). I got sick of assholes looking me up and calling me a donk in table chat - even though my record at their stakes was way better than theirs..

So you did it only to avoid the disturb of people chatting crap about you stats...and it is not so little impostance in my opinion if it can deconcetrate you from your best play.
what I mean in this thread is: poker is a game, between other aspects, of infos (often incomplete) the less your oppos have about you the more difficult are their decisions... or at least I think so
but in this room (full of fishes) I have good stats, and I think people who check them while playing will respect more my bet and raise and it could be an advantage.......or not?

I have always kept my sharkscope stars locked, perhaps I am old fashioned, but I see alot of the same players and use player notes, to track their style, Thier won loss or roi is not that important to me

Yep - i TILT to easy lol - last thing I need in-game chat is some prik calling me a donkey and yada yada. Lol - along comes my ego and I make some dumb call. Also - these assholes will call all your bets - and sometimes this is good and sometimes if you aren't hitting the board and need to make "fancy plays" then it's not a good thing to have some station call you down every hand.
i locked my stats at sharkscope in the second i found that site. i dont think its very nice that people can see my bankroll, and by the way, read the instructions to use at sharkscope. u r not allowed to scope ur opponents while playin.

Not that I care to much about it, but it seems someone gave me a thumbs down to every my reply on this thread without eplain any reason. I would like to understand why and talk about it.
but I guess you wiil not come out from your hole; it is more likely you will give me another thumbs down to this last reply: you are welcome
Magatt, I don't like Shark because they use a calculation method that doesn't work so well in loing run.
Ad esempio, se tu giochi molte partite ed il tuo bankroll rimane invariato o cresce di poco, per loro la tua perdita aumenta anche se in realtà sei in attivo. ( almeno questo è quello che ho capito )
