Hi Melanie,

In Sweden there is a saying (and I am sure it's elsewhere too, but maybe in other words) that you should never look a horse, that was given as a gift, in the mouth. Meaning, you shouldn't complain about what you got for free.

In pokerterms that would be: If you don't like the prizes, you should not play the freeroll.

My two cents. Smile

never look a gift horse in the mouth,,, this is a true saying,, but I recieved a gift horse once it promptly threw me ,, bit me and kicked me in the ass,,, reminds me of playing freerolls,,,, also by my understanding the saying never look a gift horse in the mouth means that it would be impolite to check the horses age and condition by looking at its teeth as it was for free,,,lol,,,,grrrrr

Yes! I was actually thinking of that expression in english, so I must have heard it somewhere, but for some reason I thought that it can't be a "gift horse", because, in swedish "gift" is either "poison" or "married". (Can be both.) And then, I thought, "You shouldn't poison horses, and certainly not marry them, so that can't be right..."

But it was. Thanks for the info, midnight, and to bad about the kicking and biting in the a**... Sad

Hi doomdy,

Gr8 to see someone from the Netherlands... I'm on the former Netherlands Antilles Smile lol

As a condition in our license, we are not able to take Dutch players. However, with all the changes in online gambling around the world and especially in Netherlands, you never know it can be a possibility in the future.

In my opinion the freerolls arent that great. I think there shoud be more holdem freerolls, nevertheless, big bet poker is a very good poker room, i like to play there.

It _is_ quite a strange coincidence that "married" and "poison" is the same word... Shock

Scottish? My favourite TV-caracter, Malcolm Tucker from The thick of it, is Scottish. Love the accent, especially when he is raving at everybody. Big Smile

Just so I'm not totally off topic:

Freerolls, are pretty nice. Smile
